Every artist has a voice, a unique way of seeing, interpreting, and sharing the world around us.
Our newest juried exhibition, “Artist’s Voice,” brings together photography and three-dimensional works that reflect the stories, experiences, inspirations, and perspectives of the artists who created them.
We are honored to welcome Don Lehman, local fine artist and commercial photographer, as juror for Photography, and Bill Wolff, Associate Professor, head of the sculpture program, and Art Department Chair at Salisbury University, as juror for Three-Dimensional Art.

We invite you to experience these creative voices at our Opening Reception & Awards Ceremony:

🎨 Meet the Artists of Paint Worcester County Plein Air 2026!
Welcome Ed Lewandowski!

A self-taught landscape artist, Ed discovered his passion for painting in 2020 and has since become known for coastal landscapes that capture the beauty and atmosphere of the Delmarva Peninsula through expressive light, color, and composition.

Ed is an artist-partner at Gallery One, a member of the Working Artists Forum and Art League of Ocean City, and founder of the annual Paint Laurel Plein Air event in Delaware.

We’re excited to welcome Kathy Huegel to this year’s Paint Worcester County Plein Air!

Kathy’s lifelong journey in the arts has included work as an illustrator, sign painter, mural and portrait artist, designer, and more than 17 years as an art educator in Wicomico County. Now retired, she continues to create from her home studio and finds inspiration and artistic growth through plein air painting.

Kathy is a member of the Art League of Ocean City, Worcester County Arts Council, and Milton Art Guild.

We look forward to seeing Worcester County through Kathy’s creative eye this September!

Meet Our Plein Air Artists!
We’re excited to welcome another participating artist to Paint Worcester County Plein Air 2026 - David Simpson!

Born and raised in Ocean City, David's lifelong connection to the Eastern Shore continues to inspire his work. Working primarily in oils, his subjects include the human figure, landscapes, and seascapes, with recent work exploring the texture, color, and light of our coastal environment.

An accomplished artist and dedicated educator, he currently serves as the Visual Art Teacher at Crisfield Academy and High School and is passionate about encouraging the growth of the arts in our local communities.

We’re delighted to have him joining us this September to capture the beauty and character of Worcester County!

Yesterday, our amazing team of volunteers gave the Arts Council yard some much-needed TLC, and they did it in some serious summer heat!
As Executive Director, I couldn’t be more proud and appreciative of the wonderful support we have from people who are always willing to roll up their sleeves and help. Despite the heat, we worked together, got it done, and the front of our Gallery is looking so much more welcoming!

It’s amazing what a little teamwork (and a lot of sweat! 😊) can accomplish.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped show a little love to our Arts Council home. We truly have the best team!
