Thank you Mayor Adena Ishii - City of Berkeley , Cecilia Lunaparra for Berkeley City Council , Councilmember Igor Tregub , and Ben Bartlett, Berkeley City Council for saying NO to Flock and YES to sanctuary. We are grateful to our elected officials for showing moral leadership in this unique political moment of state-sponsored terror and government overreach.

Flock’s investors are deeply tied to Trump's deportation machine. Flock has broken contracts and lied repeatedly about sharing data with the federal government.

Safety for some at the expense of our most vulnerable is not true safety. Over 50 jurisdictions (a list that continues to grow) have decided that the risks of contracting with Flock outweigh any purported safety benefits. We hope Berkeley will join them with their final decision on June 2.

Thank you to the council members for protecting our immigrant neighbors and all of us and for making your actions match our collective promise of Sanctuary. Thank you for choosing a Berkeley where our families, friends, and neighbors can live without fear that their location is being tracked or shared with the federal government.

This is the Berkeley we are fighting for. 🤎

Assemblymember Mia Bonta just introduced AB 2600, and we want to make sure everyone understands why this matters.

Right now, a person in California can face deportation proceedings alone — and lose their job, their family, and their home, with no guaranteed right to a lawyer. Immigration law is one of the most complex areas of law in the country. Expecting someone to navigate it alone, often in a second language, is unfair, cruel, and sets defendants up for the wrong outcomes.

Studies show that immigrants with legal representation are 5 to 10 times more likely to win their case. Without a lawyer, people miss deadlines, can't raise their own defenses, and courts remove them even when they are legally eligible to stay.

We're talking about survivors of domestic violence. Parents of U.S. citizen children. Long-time workers. People who have legal paths to protection they don't know about.

AB 2600 would create a new state program to ensure these Californians have legal representation in deportation proceedings. It builds on AB 1261, which already expanded access to counsel for immigrant youth, by extending this protection to EVERYONE.

This is a chance for California to defend our values and due process.

Let's start 2026 strong. Support our community today!

You made it happen! 💙
You donated, shared, and helped spread the word. Gracias por creer en este trabajo 🤗

A mom can meet with a lawyer and fight to stay with her kids.
An unaccompanied minor won't have to face court alone.
A family waiting for answers is finally getting help in their own language.

César, one of our clients, said: "If it weren't for you, I don't know where I'd be".

Even when time runs out, we still have each other.
¡Gracias de corazón por hacerlo posible!

Only hours left for ⏰

A donation, big or small, can help families and unaccompanied minors access legal representation before it’s too late. Before someone decides their future without ever hearing their story.

It's 💙

Many of our clients have traveled incredible distances to find safety, and now, they're afraid to go outside. Afraid to be seen. Afraid of what might happen next. It's not the future any of us should accept.

We need you with us today. Let's start the day strong together.

Your support, in any form, helps us keep standing with our clients when everything else feels unsafe or uncertain.
💙 A donation helps us take on urgent cases
💙 Sharing this post helps reach others who care
💙 Volunteering as a court accompaniment helps clients feel less alone in courtrooms
💙 You have the power to motivate others to join

This work doesn't stop tomorrow, but today, we need your help and action.
