Today, we give thanks for Lili and her many years of service at United Way of Boone County. As our Administrative Assistant, Lili was the friendly face of LIHEAP assistance in Boone County. We will deeply miss you and wish you all good things in your retirement.

Day of Caring brought out some great volunteers last week! We packed 100 infrastructure-free-food kit for COAR, dozens of Blessing Box food kits, and 100 hygiene kits for District 100! We also did the last harvest and winterizing of St. John’s community Garden, helped with many jobs around First Step Day Care, recorded 10 stories for Ida’s YouTube channel, and successfully held the first Repair Cafe at Ida Library!

Food Drive for “infrastructure free food” ends tomorrow! We are looking for food that requires no cooking or refrigeration or can openers etc. below is a list of locations with donation boxes and food donation suggestions. These donations will be used to support our folks in Boone County when facing crisis.
