The Boone County Community Foundation is hosting Boone County’s first ever Scholarship, Career & Resource Fair on January 14, 2027!

We have been working hard alongside District 100 and 200 and other community partners to bring this event to our community and help graduating seniors, juniors, and their families learn more about the opportunities and resources available to them. Students and families will have the chance to connect with scholarship providers, colleges and universities, trade and vocational programs, local businesses, and community organizations, all in one place!

In coordinating this event we are calling all Scholarship Providers & Community Organizations!

We still have spots available for organizations interested in participating in the fair. If you administer a local scholarship, represent a college, trade program, business, employment opportunity, or community organization that would like to connect with students and families, we would love to have you join us! Please contact the Boone County Community Foundation at 815-544-7231 for questions and registration information.

Fall Food Drive
Saturday, November 7 | 9-11 AM
Extension Office Meeting Room, 205 Cadillac Ct. Ste 5, Belvidere
Federation will again be sponsoring the annual Fall Food Drive. Clubs and individuals are encouraged to collect nonperishable food or cash donations for the Salvation Army. Be creative and make it an individual challenge for yourself or challenge your club members!

Military Mail
Military Mail will be due at the Extension Office by Friday, November 6 by 4:30 p.m. (Last-minute cards can be dropped off during the Food Drive Nov. 7 before 10:30 a.m.). Cards may be dropped off at the Extension Office during normal business hours. Things to remember for Military Mail:
NO GLITTER
NO CARD ENVELOPES
Guidelines:
Please address the card to "Dear Warrior." Be respectful and polite.
Write a holiday/gratitude greeting, keeping in mind that our Troops are diverse in their holiday practices and beliefs. Write a personal note if you choose.
Sign your FIRST NAME only and the town and state where you live. No address label needed anymore.
If you are making handmade cards, they can be no larger than 5.5" x 8.5".

4-H Enrollment is Now Open
Enrollment is now open in ZSuite for the 2026-2027 4-H year!

Returning 4-H members and screened volunteers will need sign in to the household account they created last year. Re-Enrollment deadline will be November 15.

Please use your login information from last year. Do not create a new account. Please contact Kelli [email protected] if you have any problems. There are resets if you forgot your password or PIN.

Make sure you know from your club leader how the 4-H program fees are to be paid.
If you pay by credit card, I am unable to make refunds.
Families with 4 or more children enrolled in 4-H will pay a $60 maximum fee.
