Local 1569 stands with our brothers and sisters of Rockford Firefighters Local 413.

When staffing shortages force emergency units out of service, the impact is felt by both firefighters and the communities they protect. We support the members working hard each day to provide safe, reliable emergency services under difficult circumstances.

Stay safe, Local 413. We stand with you. Strong staffing protects everyone.

🚨🚨ATTENTION🚨🚨

Due to a lack of personnel, Medic 4 and Ladder 9 are out of service today. This is the unfortunate byproduct of the City of Rockford Government’s lack of meaningful conversations to address these issues. These closures alter the response plan of your Rockford Firefighters and pose a greater risk to the citizens, visitors, and firefighters. In the coming days, weeks, and months we will continue to shine a light and inform the members of this community of the issues at hand.

Thank you to the REACT Flight Crew for coming out today and taking the time to work with our crews.

We appreciate the hands-on look at the helicopter and the presentation on landing zones, helicopter safety, and coordinated operations. Training together like this makes a difference when it counts.

Thanks again for your time and partnership.
