There are many heavy shoulders right now. Schedules that are extremely full, and even though they may be full of good things, it can still be a lot to manage and/or navigate through! Trying to find the balance can be work in itself, but there is a Way through it all, and yep, you know where I’m going…it’s through Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the power and strength we need to keep going. It is God’s wisdom we need to learn what to continue with and how to best continue. Seek. Listen. Obey.

As I was praying for a couple specific people who I know are carrying super heavy loads right now, I was reminded of Matthew 11:28-30. These verses will speak to you too, as I know MANY people are experiencing the weight and heaviness right now. Have hope! Be assured! You’re not alone! God will help you through! The great exchange of the heavy for the light! Come to Jesus!

Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT) Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

And THEN, in my personal reading this morning of Isaiah 10, I came across this verse that goes right along with the Matthew verses!:

Isaiah 10:27 In that day the LORD will end the bo***ge of his people. He will break the yoke of slavery and lift it from their shoulders.

THANK YOU, LORD!!!

We say we trust God, but do we really? It’s a lot easier to say that we do especially when things are going well, but are we still saying this when the circumstances change? It’s an opportunity to press in even more!

Praising God for his blessed assurance, presence, and guidance through it all! As we turn to him through the highs AND the lows and give him everything we’ve got in faith, He is the multiplier! He is the Way Maker! He is the Promise Keeper! His Word holds true, and it will not return to Him void!

As we continue to know Him more and more through His word and through prayer with Him, we know that no matter what, His plans are for good. He is a just God and a loving God. He is for you, not against you (Romans 8:31)!

So, keep having faith, keep trusting, keep believing, and ask God to help with any unbelief (Mark 9:24). God is the One who is completely trustworthy.

Psalm 91:2 I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.“

We sure have a friend in Jesus! I'm thinking of the song, 'What a Friend We Have in Jesus' as I type this. Another song, 'Lean on Me' has been popping up the last few weeks, and I notice I am singing it when I'm not even thinking about it.

We are reminded that Jesus is right there with us, and He is for us. He is there to lean on every day. He gives us the strength, peace, love, wisdom, insight, faith, grace, etc. that we need! We can ALWAYS count on Him, as He will never let us down. May we look to Him and learn from His ways, so that we too can be a good friend to others. Much love, everyone!

John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

John 15:15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

Transitions can sure be tough, as life is full of changes! But, there is also opportunity for such transformative growth in these seasons as well. We can get caught up in what was, but I know at the same time, we are encouraged to be in the present, appreciate the now, look for the good, and allow the hope and encouragement settle in as we also look forward for what is yet to come.

God was with you then. God is with you now. And God will continue to be with you. Buckle up. Enjoy the ride, even through the twists and turns of life. There is more to come, and it is used for good. Stay with it. Stay with Jesus. Eyes on Him. Thank You, God!

Philippians 3:13-14 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

We have the honor of celebrating all the ‘Mommas’ in our lives as well as give God thanks for all of the times we ourselves get to be ‘mommas’ to others as well. It isn’t just through blood. It’s through community.

Today, we have the pleasure of learning more of family units. The first part is in regards to Peter’s mother-in-law! Wow! After being healed by Jesus, she didn’t stay down! She immediately got up and went to work! She served! She went to prepare a meal. Jesus modeled this for us to do, and Peter’s mother-in-law put it into action in an incredible way, right after a miracle of healing had happened. Join us in the scriptures: Matthew 8:14-15, Mark 1:29-31, and Luke 4:38-39.

We also learned in John 19:26-27 of Jesus passing the torch of love and responsibility to John, as He commissioned him to now take care of His mother Mary. She was now to become John’s ‘mother’, and John was not to become her son. This is another instance of God’s meaning of caretaking outside the box of what we sometimes limit what motherhood is. This is an example of true community stepping up for one another. To God be the glory as we follow His lead, His model, and put caretaking into action. Thank You, God!

Blessed Mother’s Day to all! God has placed multiple ’Moms’ in our lives throughout the years to help shape us, nurture us, teach us, love on us, care for us, correct us, and show us the way! I am forever grateful for each one in addition to my own Mom, Momma-in-law, and Grandmas! And to be the momma to two fabulous kids here on earth and one in heaven! We get to be a ‘Momma’ for others as well in multiple ways - what a gift and an opportunity! The gift that keeps on giving through love and care for the generations to come! Thank You, God! ❤️

Need a change of attitude? Ask God for His help and then make the CHOICE (God gives us free-will choice) to stay in it! The joy of the Lord is my strength! (Nehemiah 8:10). You see, I may not always be ‘feeling’ the joy, but I tell ya what, when I seek the Lord, thank Him for who HE is, what HE has done, and state out loud the NUMEROUS blessings that I’m beyond thankful for, there is a shift that happens! The gloom is lifted and the joy arises! Thank You, God!! CHOOSING joy, the joy that comes from the Lord!

Psalm 31:3 For you are my rock and my fortress; and for your name’s sake you lead me and guide me;

Once again, I’m thankful! Thankful that God is our Rock and Safe Place! Thankful that He is ALWAYS ready to lead us and guide us! Handing over the reigns with a heart’s desire to follow God’s glorious and righteous ways!

Much love, everyone! God bless you!

Beyond thankful for God's love that endures forever! God is working! He is moving! And we have the honor of being a part of it, as we move with Him! Keep loving. Keep believing. Keep trusting and having faith. There IS 'light at the end of the tunnel'... and actually, there is light right here, right now, through it all! Thank You, Jesus!!

Psalm 138:7-8 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve my life. The LORD will vindicate me; Your love, LORD, endures forever - do not abandon the works of Your hands.

Wait.

For about a month now, I’ve been wanting to change out our front door wreath, but for whatever reason, I kept just leaving it. Then, about a week ago, I happened to take a closer look, and I found a nest with four eggs!

This wreath usually attracts birds and their ongoing desire to make nests, but all of them so far have been at the top of the wreath. This small one was nestled in at the bottom and toward the back, making it a challenge to see by just looking at the wreath. There was a reason I was to leave it. The nest was forming behind the scenes!

‘Wait. Leave what is, wait until new life emerges, then change it out.’

You may have been in a waiting period. I know it can sure be a challenge to wait and be patient, but there is purpose in the waiting. Know that God is absolutely working while we wait. It’s more than ok (honestly, I think it’s necessary!) to ask for strength during these seasons and for His help to keep placing our trust in Him. New will emerge! New doors WILL open! Just wait and remain faithful.

Psalm 27:14 Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
