John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.

This verse brings such reassurance! I hope it speaks to you too. Yes, there may be a lot of darkness in the world right now, but we praise Jesus that HIS light eternally shines greater than anything. No darkness can ever dim or extinguish it.

As believers and followers of Christ, His light shines through us too! It has been such a pleasure seeing the light of Christ shine through so many people. It truly does make a difference. There is a lot of good that is happening, so may we shine the light on that and give God thanks for it all! Shine on! Thank You, Jesus! Much love, everyone!

Clinging to…

This phrase keeps coming up as a visual (cling wrap!) and in the Word! We are to cling (hold on tightly) to what is good! Well, that’s God!

Bible hub defines this word and concept: “Clinging to God refers to the act of holding fast to the Lord with unwavering faith, trust, and devotion. It is a spiritual posture characterized by reliance on God's strength, guidance, and presence in every aspect of life. This concept is deeply rooted in the biblical narrative, where believers are encouraged to maintain a close and intimate relationship with God, especially during times of trial and uncertainty.”

May our thoughts cling to what is good!
May we praise and cling to WHO is good!☝️🙌

Psalm 63:8 I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.

A few days ago, I was working away on the daily devotion from my office computer. I was pretty honed in as I barely took notice of the ‘low battery’ notification. I just kept going thinking I had enough time to get it finished. I didn’t…it shut down.

This is a good reminder for us all. Staying ‘plugged in’ and being obedient to the reminders to ‘Come to Me’ throughout the day so that we aren’t going on our own strength and energy.

The Holy Spirit is THE Power Source! I am beyond thankful that our God is available 24/7. He provides our every need as we do our part of plugging in and STAYING plugged in!

Have we been operating in our own power, strength, and energy? When we do, we can only go so far. But being still in God’s presence, resting and taking the time to connect with God throughout the day, we can keep going to fulfill the plan/purpose that God has for us today! The eternal power Source! Resting AND going as we remain ‘plugged in’ with God! Thank You, Lord!

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Jude’s and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

It never gets old expressing our gratitude to all who were a part of the successful Community Luncheon! 🙌

Teamwork is a must, and what a team it is - from start to finish! People get fed, and people get helped as a result - I would definitely call that a win! We are very thankful to God and to ALL that made this happen! A big thanks as well to Rolling Hills Electric Cooperative, as they were this month’s business water bottle sponsors!

Thank you, C & C Farms (delivered by OCCK!) for the peppers and cucumbers, and Hungry Hollow Ministries who passed on boxes of potatoes and green beans from an anonymous giver! Wow!! 🙌. Even when...

Even when there may be multiple things piling up and it looks impossible, God is the Way Maker! (Isaiah 43:19)

Even when it feels like darts are coming at you from all sides, God is our Shield of faith, protecting us from the fiery darts of the enemy! (Ephesians 6:16)

Even when promises have been broken by people and trust has been lost, God is always trustworthy - He does not lie! He is a promise keeper! (Numbers 23:19)

Even when we may have limited faith, God remains faithful! (2 Timothy 2:13)

Even when you aren't feeling loved, truth is....you are!!! You are absolutely loved by God, even more than you can ever think or imagine! (John 3:16; Romans 5:8; 1 John 4:19; Psalm 36:5; Ephesians 3:18...and more!)

Even when....God is bigger! God is on the throne! God is in control! God is my Protector! God knows what is going on, and He IS using it for good! GOD IS GOOD! And He is FOR us!....even when. Thank You, God!

Shut down any thoughts that do not line up with God. Get into His Word (let us know if you need a Bible!). It is our instruction manual for today and every day, as it also shapes our thinking, behavior, choices, and actions. It transforms us from the inside out! Thank You, God, for Your Living Word living in us!! What a great opportunity we have today to self-assess: 'What have I been thinking about?...ways of the world OR the ways of God?' 'Which do I desire and act upon?'

Replace thoughts of deception, justification, distraction, excuses, misperceptions, fleshly desires, etc. with God's Truth and Way. God has really been showing me recently the importance of His children taking action!...shutting down what needs to be shut down, SO THAT we truly walk in all that God desires for us! It is lining up our spirit with The Holy Spirit! God has already provided everything we need for today! He knows you can do it with His help! Let's goooooo!!!

Romans 8:5 Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.

We may have our own opinions and perceptions about things, but they are not always accurate...and actually, there are times we are really missing the mark! Forgive us, Lord, and thank You for teaching and lovingly correcting us! We may be living our 'truth', but how much does our 'truth' really line up with what God says? It is my heart's desire that what comes out of my mouth lines up with the Word of God.

It is very important that we seek GOD'S Truth in all that we do. HIS truth is always spot on, accurate, and right. God's Word is where it's at. May we all have opened eyes, ears, and hearts to receive, know, and live out God's Truth. Lord, we need You! Thank You for Your help in knowing You and YOUR Truth more and more. YOUR Truth sets us free!!!

Psalm 86:11 Teach me your ways, O LORD, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you.

John 8:32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
