TROJAN WAY UPDATE!

What. A. Weekend.

Chad, Laura, and Brad battled the weekend elements and officially got ALL 208 engraved bricks installed!

And just like that… this incredible project is about 60% COMPLETE!

We knew Trojan Way was going to be special. We knew seeing generations of Trojan names and memories permanently placed at the Matous Family Sports Complex would be amazing.

But WOW.

Seeing it actually come to fruition is on a whole different level.

Every brick tells a story.
Every name represents a piece of our history.
And together, they are creating something that will be part of our Trojan Family for generations to come.

A HUGE thank you to Chad, Laura, and Brad for the hours, hard work, patience, precision—and some less-than-ideal Kansas weather—that went into getting every single engraved brick into place.

60% down…and it already looks AMAZING!

Stay tuned, Trojan Family. There is still so much more to come!

LET THE TROJAN WALK JOURNEY BEGIN!

We knew from the very beginning that it was going to take just the right person to install these incredible pieces of our Trojan Family history.

And when we say “just the right person,” we mean someone who is precise, knowledgeable, patient, hardworking…and maybe just a little bit crazy enough to take on a project like this!

Enter Chad Lorenz, along with his all-star assistants—his wife, Laura, and father-in-law, Brad Treaster!

If you know Chad, you know there truly could not be a better person for this job. These bricks came straight from Mill Street, and saying they have a little “wear and tear” is putting it mildly! Each one has its own personality, which makes installing them beautifully an incredibly tedious and labor-intensive process.

But this crew has taken on the monumental task of installing 1,000 individual pieces of Trojan history—and they’re doing it with incredible attention to detail, a whole lot of Trojan pride, and somehow still plenty of smiles!

And speaking of those 1,000 bricks…

208 SOLD to be engraved, in our very first year!

Out of nearly 1,000 available spaces, we think that is a FANTASTIC start—and we’re just getting going!

There have been so many hands involved in bringing the Trojan Walk to life.

Senger Construction created an amazing framework and foundation for the project.

Bell Memorial engraved each and every one of these special pieces—and trust us, there is MUCH more coming about their incredible work!

And now Chad, Laura and Brad are putting all those pieces together in a way that is already looking absolutely flawless.

And perhaps the best part of all is that Chad gets to install his own family’s brick, purchased in honor of their daughter, Autumn—the 2026 3A javelin champion! What a special way to celebrate her incredible accomplishment and add another meaningful piece of Trojan history to the walk.

What makes this project so special is that these aren’t simply bricks.

They are families.
They are classes.
They are teachers, coaches, businesses and organizations.
They are memories.
They are Trojan history.

And this is only the beginning!

We’ll be opening the SECOND ROUND of Trojan Walk brick purchases in the next couple of weeks, giving even more members of our Trojan Family the opportunity to permanently add their name to this special place.

Stay tuned for installation updates AND details on how you can become part of the next chapter of the Trojan Walk!

Once a Trojan. Always a Trojan. And now—a little piece of Trojan history forever.

TROJAN FAMILY… IF THIS DOESN’T CLAIM OUR SPOT, WE’RE NOT SURE WHAT WILL!

There will be absolutely NO guessing whose home this is!

THE HOME OF THE TROJANS.

And just like nearly every piece of the Matous Family Sports Complex, this signage has a pretty amazing hometown story behind it.

It started when Jason Rabe helped spark the idea for the Guaranty State Bank signage at The Vault and the Guaranty State Bank Trojan Fan Zone. That connection led us to Mark at Wildside Creative from Concordia, who came out to measure, listen to our crazy ideas, and help us dream up signage for both The Vault and the Class of 1995 Press Box.

But believe it or not… “THE HOME OF THE TROJANS” wasn’t even in the original plan! 😳

Thankfully, Brad Schroeder spoke up. He looked at that space and suggested we needed something BIG that made it crystal clear exactly where you were.

And boy, was he right. 🙌

So we turned to Kevin Marozas who came up with the lettering design....using the same font from our TROJAN gameday flags! 🧡🖤

Of course, putting lettering THAT SIZE in THAT LOCATION wasn’t exactly an easy little afternoon project. 😂 But in typical Brad and Schroeder Building fashion, he found a way.

Then came the next challenge—the timeline.

The boom truck was going to be in Beloit, which gave us a VERY small window to make this happen. We called Mark at Wildside Creative, explained the situation, and once again…

a North Central Kansas business stepped up.

Mark worked his magic, got the lettering completed, and made sure everything was ready to go while the equipment was here.

And THIS is the result. 🧡🖤

Honestly, this story perfectly represents what this entire project has been about from day one.

One person has an idea.
Another person makes a suggestion.
Another person makes the design.
Someone else figures out how to make it work.
A local business says, “We can get it done.”
And suddenly something incredible is hanging over OUR hometown facility.

That is Beloit.

That is the Trojan Family.

That is HOMETOWN TEAMWORK.

A HUGE thank you to Mark and Wildside Creative, Jason Rabe, Kevin Marozas, Brad Schroeder, and everyone who helped pull this piece together on an incredibly tight timeline.

And Mark…we aren’t done bragging on you yet. There is MUCH MORE coming on that later! 😉

For now, Trojan Family, take a look up…

THIS IS OUR HOUSE.
THIS IS OUR HOME.
THIS IS THE HOME OF THE TROJANS.

If you’ve been wondering about all the action going on at the stadium this weekend… the Lampert Pavilion is getting a major spruce-up!

Todd Dunstan with Luxelawn Landscape & Irrigation and his crew have been sweating their tails off, working hard to make this area something truly special. Their hard work, attention to detail, and willingness to jump in and help bring this vision to life are so appreciated!

A HUGE shoutout to Todd and his crew for putting in some long, hot hours this weekend!

And an even bigger THANK YOU to Bob Lampert and his family, whose generosity made the Lampert Pavilion possible in the first place. This space is such a wonderful addition to the Matous Family Sports Complex and will be enjoyed by Trojan fans and our community for years to come.

Things are really starting to come together, and we can’t wait for everyone to see the finished product!

Stay tuned… there’s more to come on this awesome project very soon!

🎉🖤🧡 Trojan Pride. Hometown Pride. 🧡🖤🎉

If you’ve ever worked in the former Beloit High press box…this photo might just bring a tear to your eye.

No more climbing those inverted stairs that felt steeper than a ladder! 😅

Today, we’re excited to give you a sneak peek inside the new Class of 1995 Press Box, and what an incredible transformation it has become. A huge shoutout to Schroeder Building for getting the structure framed, Bergman Electric for all of the electrical work, and Watts for bringing the heating and air systems to life. The craftsmanship is second to none, and it’s already every bit as impressive on the inside as it is from the road.

And we’re not done yet…

Coming soon are the signature orange and black finishes to tie everything together with the concession stand, along with some amazing additions to the Lampert Family Pavilion that we can’t wait to share.

It’s hard to believe we’re entering the final stretch of this incredible journey. What began as a dream has become something our entire community can be proud of. Every donor, volunteer, contractor, supporter, and Trojan fan has helped make this vision a reality.

Trojan Field at the Matous Family Sports Complex is quickly becoming a destination that will serve generations of students, athletes, and families. September 11 can’t get here soon enough!

🖤 Once a Trojan…Always a Trojan. 🧡
