This word means so much more than PEACE.
Twice in this verse David used the Hebrew word “shalom”. This word means much more than “peace”.
It means:
1. Wholeness
2. Wellness
3. Well-being
4. Safe
5. Happy
6. Friendly
7. Favor
8. Completeness
9. To make peace
10. Peace offering
11. Secure
12. To prosper
13. To be victorious
14. Content
15. Tranquil
16. Quiet
17. Restful

So, “shalom” is used to describe those of us who have been provided ALL that is needed to be whole and complete and BREAK OFF ALL authority that attempts to bind us to CHAOS. @

I am working on breaking off those things that are in my life that are trying to bind me to chaos?

Jesus says: ( summarized) Pay attention and come closer to ME, that your total being may flourish. Isaiah 55:3a

How do we do that?

“Hurry is the great enemy of spiritual life in our day.” Dallas Willard

What do I need to do to stop the hurry?
How do I break off all the chaos?
What are my triggers?
What am I doing that keeps me bound to chaos?

Get alone with HIM!! RUN TO HIM!! The LIVING WORD.

“For we have the living Word of God, which is full of energy, like a two-mouthed sword. It will even pe*****te to the very core of our being where soul and spirit, bone and marrow meet! It interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of our hearts.”

He will teach you what is BEST FOR YOU!
Let HIM set the pace
Let HIM carry the weight
Let HIM lead the direction

Who is my neighbor? He has beautiful hopes for every individual, He loves us ALL and wants ALL to come to HIM! Are we inviting EVERYONE?

I think this is the difference of knowing “about God” and truly KNOWING GOD!!!

I have been re-reading books by Bob Goff: Love Does and Everybody Always.

I find children and dogs are much closer to God than I am. They often have unconditional love and forgive much more quickly than we adults do!
