On Wednesday of this week I sat in a court room for the sentencing of a man that plead guilty to shooting at a party 4 years ago that took my son’s young life. But last night, honey…last night, I stood before a crowd of people and accepted the 2023 Youth Icon Award from the Ben McClemore Foundation on Jaylon’s behalf. Needless to say I’ve been on an emotional roller coaster all week. Join me in congratulating Jaylon on his legacy of greatness that just keeps on happening!!! right?

Yesterday I volunteered at the Tony Adams Foundation Project Backpack event and little did I know I wasn’t just their to help in his efforts to bless his community, I was there to receive a blessing as well.

Tony Adams of the New York Jets and his Foundation has given us Declaration to name his very first Undergraduate Scholarship after
Thee Jaylon Mckenzie.
The Jaylon Mckenzie Legacy of Hope Scholarship will be awarded in the Fall of 2024.

He brought me to tears and I’m crying as I type this.😭😭😭 I told y’all I was having a rough week and God sent his angel Jaylon to wrap his arms around me and tell me momma I’m still there, you continue to
