Hospice is a special healthcare option for patients and families who are faced with a terminal illness. A multi-disciplinary team of physician, nurses, social workers, bereavement counselors and volunteers works together to address the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of each patient and family. Hospice of Southern Illinois provides specialized care services (patient care including

symptom management, emotional support, spiritual support and psychosocial intervention), addressing issues most important to the patient’s needs and wants at the end of their life focusing on improving the individual’s quality of life. When is it time for hospice? 1) The patient has a terminal illness with a prognosis of 6 months or less, 2) Comfort care and symptom management become the primary focus, 3) Curative treatment is no longer the patient's choice or option.

We're excited to share the route for the 4th Annual Jim Hayes Memorial Jeep & Bronco Poker Run benefiting Hospice of Southern Illinois!

Saturday, June 27, 2026

Registration: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Poker Run Begins: 10:30 a.m.

While pre-registration is not required, it is greatly appreciated! Advance registrations help our stops prepare and plan accordingly for the number of participants throughout the day. If you haven’t registered please visit www.hospice.org/events

📍 Poker Run Stops:
🎲 Stop #1 – Garden of the Gods Outpost
🎲 Stop #2 – The Fish Dock River Restaurant
🎲 Stop #3 – Chocolate Factory Inc
🎲 Stop #4 – Shotgun Eddys
🎲 Stop #5 – JAC'S PLACE

We're excited to welcome The Fish Dock River Restaurant as a new stop this year! They have recently leased the park, are excited to host our participants, and there will be plenty of parking available.

And yes... Jac's famous Mud Pit will be back again this year! 💦🚙 Get ready for some muddy fun!

The Poker Run will conclude back at the Harrisburg Elks Lodge, where participants will have the opportunity to purchase a Bonus Draw for an additional chance to win.

Take a closer look at just a few of the beautiful designer bags that will be up for grabs at our sold out Designer Bag Bingo on June 18th at The Pavilion in Marion! 👜✨

We're looking forward to a fun evening of bingo, great prizes, and supporting the mission of Hospice of Southern Illinois. As a reminder, attendees must be 18 years or older to play. Feel free to bring your favorite snacks and finger foods, and a cash bar will be available throughout the evening.

Doors open at 5:30 PM, and bingo begins at 6:30 PM. We can't wait to see everyone there!
