Join us for a FREE audio description event at Saint Louis Art Museum for Two Gentleman of Verona by St. Louis Shakespeare FestivalšŸŽ

Friday, September 4th, 6:30 PM.

Best friends Valentine and Proteus swear loyalty to each other…until they both fall for the same woman. Suddenly loyalty, love, and good judgment all go out the window. Complete with disguises, misunderstandings, and one very scene-stealing dog, this is Shakespeare’s original rom-com about friendship, forgiveness, and the hilarious messiness of growing up.

Image Description: To the left, a silhouetted woman in a sweeping purple dress has a heart-shaped outline of angel wings on either side of her, with each wing serving as a portal to a different scene: a shadowed city on the left and a sunlit wilderness on the right. To the right of the imagery, the bright white title, ā€œTHE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA,ā€ pops against a dark purple background.

Our audio description staff had an AMAZING time recently at the Leadership Exchange in Arts & Disability (LEADĀ®) 2026 conference! Over 750 folks who work in access in the arts took over Philly to learn, teach, and share about how to make arts and cultural spaces not just accessible, but inclusive. At MindsEye, we KNOW that Art is a Human Right and we strive every day to make St. Louis a HOTBED of accessibility.

Image description: Several overlapping LEAD-related items. On the bottom is the conference agenda booklet, which is dark green with a shield. Bold yellow text in the center reads, LEAD 2026. Text above follows the shape of the shield--Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability. Other items include Magan's nametag with very special unicorn stickers and her Facilitator badge, a sticker that reads: Inclusion is my cup of tea, and one in the shape of the LEAD shield that says Access Summer Camp. Another sticker has several Philadelphia landmarks, including the Rocky statue at the Museum of Art and the Liberty Bell above the text 250 Philly. In the upper right corner is a blue Art-Reach Access card. This is the same type of card that gives hundreds of thousands of people access to world-class museums and cultural institutions in the Philadelphia area for just $2.

Happy National Radio Day!šŸ“»

Our Broadcast Information Program translates the visual world of print into audio. Newspapers, books, ads, magazines, and other printed material is not accessible to people with a visual disability.

We provide free technology for listeners at home and in residential care facilities so they can easily access broadcasts. We tailor technology to listener preferences whether that is accessing broadcasts through livestream on our website, through the traditional SCA radio, through an Amazon Echo device, and more.

Our broadcast serves 32 counties throughout the bi-state Greater St. Louis and Springfield, IL regions.
