Dec 21, 2025 was the LONGEST NIGHT of the year. Cathedral of Saint Peter hosted the annual memorial service. During this longest night they opened their doors to provide shelter for up to 20 unhoused persons. Stay tuned for hopefully more progress on addressing this important community concern. Kudos to the Belleville Homeless Coalition for pulling together this interfaith group of speakers. 🌃💫🏠💕

Though the government shutdown ended today, this continues to be a period of struggle for many of our peers within the federal community. Please know that you do not have to face these difficulties alone. Many charities stand ready to help federal employees and their families with essential services — from food assistance and financial counseling to emergency support and mental health resources.

The strength of the federal community has always been its people — dedicated, resilient, and caring. Please don’t hesitate to connect with these resources and share them with colleagues who may stand in need.
