Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

06/13/2026

Today, the Bishops of the United States will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Parishes and individuals around the country are encouraged to join the U.S. Catholic bishops in this historic occasion, beginning with this Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus written for the consecration.

As we close this week and enter the Lord's Day, we reflect on the gift our bishops have given us this month by consecrating our dioceses and parishes to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

In this Sunday's Gospel, we hear that Jesus looked upon the crowds and His heart was "moved with pity for them, because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd." (Matthew 9:36)

This is the Heart of Christ—a Heart that sees us, knows us, and loves us even in our weariness, uncertainty, and struggles.

As you enter the weekend, take a moment to ponder:

-Where in my life do I need to allow the Sacred Heart of Jesus to shepherd me?

-What burdens am I still trying to carry alone?

-How is Christ calling me to reflect His compassionate Heart to someone who feels forgotten or alone?

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus draw each of us closer to Him, filling our homes and our hearts with His peace.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, we place our trust in You.

🌹 Wisdom Wednesday 🌹

"Miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word." — St. Thérèse of Lisieux

St. Thérèse, known as "The Little Flower," reminds us that holiness isn't found only in extraordinary acts. It's found in the small things we do each day with great love.

A smile to someone who is struggling.
A prayer for a stranger.
Patience in a difficult moment.
Kindness when no one notices.

This week, let's walk the "Little Way" and offer every small act to God with love.

🌹 St. Thérèse of Lisieux, pray for us.
