This week, the Harford County Sheriff’s Foundation will be highlighting our Secretary, Sheariah Yousefi!

Sheariah is a Harford County resident, government affairs and business development consultant, and small business owner with experience serving in policy roles for both Congress and the Maryland General Assembly.

A graduate of Towson University, her work has focused on public safety, veterans’ issues, religious freedom, local authority, and foster care policy. She also served internationally for two contract periods as a government-sponsored EFL instructor in South Korea, where she developed a national award-winning English curriculum for K–12 students.

Currently, Sheariah serves as Secretary for the Foundation and on the Board of Directors with Harford Family House. With a deep commitment to the community and our men and women in Blue, Sheariah is honored to serve on the Foundation’s Executive Team and contribute to the Board’s work in advancing public safety in Harford County.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Foundation joins with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office sharing our deepest condolences to all impacted by the tragic loss of Corporal Tim O’Connor yesterday.

Today we honor a hero who gave his life in service to his community. May we all have the Pennsylvania State Police, Corporal O’Connor’s family, and his friends in our thoughts and prayers.

This week, the Harford County Sheriff’s Foundation will be highlighting our Treasurer, Brooks Shertzer!

Brooks graduated at the top of his class from Calvert Hall College High School and earned his B.B.A in Economics, Cum Laude from Loyola University Maryland Sellinger School of Business. He is a licensed Investment Adviser Representative with Founders Financial Securities, LLC and also a partner at DHT Financial Group.

As a lifelong Harford County resident, Brooks is actively involved in our local community. If Brooks isn’t at the office, with clients, or near his phone, he can often be found at home in Northern Harford County, working outside, splitting firewood, and enjoying time with his growing family!

Exciting things on the horizon!

Earlier this month, the County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Cadets Post 6600 moved into the final stages of building the car that will represent the HCSO in the 4th Annual Town Derby hosted by the Lions Club!

This week, the Harford County Sheriff’s Foundation will be highlighting our Vice President, Branscome!

Born and raised in Harford County, Fred Branscome possesses a wealth of experience in the Real Estate and Financial Services Industries. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Fred has become an industry leader with over 30 years of experience in banking and real estate. Through his involvement in the community and the Financial Services Industry, Fred maintains strong relationships with the business community throughout the county and state. Passionate about giving back to his community, Fred serves as the Vice President of the Harford County Sheriff’s Foundation. He also is a Past Commodore of Bush River Yacht Club and current board member and director of The Holding Corporation for BRYC. Fred volunteers with various organizations and is active with the Chamber of Commerce.

On this day 10 years ago Harford County lost two of their very own - Senior Deputy Patrick Dailey and Deputy First Class Mark Logsdon. The Harford County Sheriff’s Foundation honors and remembers both men for the ultimate sacrifice they gave in the line of duty protecting the people of Harford County.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Foundation is operated by an all-volunteer board, composed of business and community leaders that have a heart for our law enforcement community! Their dedication is what makes the Foundation’s work possible and throughout this year, as a small token of appreciation, we’ll be sharing highlights on each one! Starting off we have Butch Tilley.

Butch Tilley is the Vice President of Commercial Insurance at Relation Insurance Services and the former owner of York Insurance Services, which was acquired by Relation Insurance two years ago through sale. He holds a BS in Management from York College of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Loyola University, and currently serves as President of the Harford County Sheriff’s Foundation and as a member of the Board of Trustees for Ladew Gardens. He previously served as Chairman of the Harford County Liquor Control Board. Butch brings great leadership and insight to his work and the community he serves, drawing from his vast experience in management, company growth, and strategic planning.
