Get ready for an evening of local legends, ghost stories, music, and spine-tingling tales when Hoosier Hauntings: Tales from Lawrence County and Beyond! takes the stage this Friday and Saturday evening, October 23 and 24, 2026.

The live performance begins at 7 p.m. at the Stonegate Arts and Education Center, located at 15th and J Streets in Bedford. Tickets are $5 (which includes treats after the show) and are available at stonegate.ludus.com. Tickets will also be available at the door.

The production is written and directed by Penny May, a long-time community theater performer and director. The cast of storytellers and singers includes Gerri Baker, Traci Tritle, Jack May, Amy Voris, Emma Voris, Joe Voris, Sienna May, Hanson May, Sophie Chastain, Vada Lyle, and musician Becky Muncy.

The evening will also include treats served by Pat Bennet, Nelda Nikirk, Dona Boening, Ruthellen Beasley, Sheryl Richards, and Susan Ciccario.

Audiences are invited to gather for stories rooted in the region’s lore—and tales that reach beyond Lawrence County. While creepy and sometimes a bit scary, the show is suitable for family members of all ages.

The event is sponsored in part by Blue Spring Caverns, Realtor Chelsea May, and Mitchell Floor Coverings.
