"God has also been strengthening the broader ministry of the church. Our youth, women’s, and men’s groups continue to grow and play an active role in evangelism and discipleship. Weekly outreach efforts in nearby communities, along with special services and youth gatherings, have opened doors to reach new families with the message of Christ. As a congregation, we have also committed to seeking the Lord together by dedicating the first week of each month to prayer, concluding with a special time of fasting and prayer.

One of the greatest highlights of this year has been our Vacation Bible Schools. We were able to hold three VBS programs in the churches of Km 32, Hato Viejo, and Km 25, reaching more than 100 children and teens per day in some locations and over 70 daily in others. These days were filled with Bible teaching, songs, activities, and fellowship, allowing us not only to share the Gospel with many children, but also to connect with their families and strengthen ongoing discipleship."

"At the beginning of 2026, we shared our vision to expand evangelism, strengthen discipleship, and develop leaders in the Dominican Republic. As we reflect on the year thus far, we are grateful to see how God has been answering our prayers and bringing that vision to life.

One of the clearest ways we have seen God at work is through the fruit of evangelism. In recent months, we rejoiced in the baptism of three new believers and the addition of eight new members across our congregations. Behind each number is a life being transformed by the power of the Gospel."

"We are looking forward to ministering in a new venue—the senior citizen center. We’ve been there with teams from the States, and plan to make it a regular stop. We sing, share the Word, do a craft, and just show love to a group of people who desperately need it. The senior citizens there are so grateful for people to take time for them. We always enjoy our visits."

"The past year of ministry in Costa Rica hasn’t always looked like we thought it would. There have been moments when we wondered what the next step should be and where we should focus our energy. A few things have become clear. First, we believe God has placed us here to encourage a Costa Rican pastor and his wife. Also, God has placed people in our lives that we can disciple and help. God has opened doors of opportunity for new kinds of outreach.

Some days ministry here looks like taking time for coffee and setting aside the to-do list to talk. It means prioritizing relationships. Sometimes it means making a phone call and praying with someone who has reached out for encouragement. Sometimes it’s going to a medical appointment with someone or providing a meal. Sometimes it’s just taking the pastor shopping for things that are needed for the church. Whatever the case, we are doing our best to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Costa Rica."

"Hope Evangelical Bilingual Academy in Jalapa, or Colegio Evangelico Bilingue la Esperanza, continues to grow under local leadership as the Lord keeps blessing their efforts. Bro Misael Galvez is our national leader for the mission and is the legal representative of the school. This makes him the lead administrator and final decision maker. The five members of the school board are his chief advisors and offer a wealth of personal experience and educational expertise. They are from the Emanuel church and a have a love for the opportunities presented in the ministry of Christian education. This year the academy has 198 students in K-4 through 9th grade. The 2026 school year will finish in mid-October with a graduation ceremony later that month. Please continue to pray for this ministry as they endeavor to reach the hearts of young people with the truth of the Gospel."

"Bro Hugo Vasquez is the new director of the Bible Institute in Guatemala, which has 52 students this year. After graduating from the Institute and pastoring for 15 years, Bro Vasquez was elected to his new role in November of 2025 and started serving in that capacity this year. We are excited to see God's hand on his life and God's continued blessings on the institute as it prepares and sends out graduates ready to step into ministry. A recent report stated that around 95% of the current pastors in the Emanuel Church are Bible Institute graduates. There are currently three courses of study: Theology, Christian Education and Pastoral Ministry, which prepare laymen, Sunday school teachers, and pastors with a solid Biblical foundation of holiness."

"All the children have been able to connect with the Thai children at church, and Naomi has appreciated the relationship she has made with the Pastor’s wife, Meela. Meela has a kind, mothering heart and really loves to minister to the village children that they regularly bring to church. She teaches Sunday school to the younger ones and Naomi would like to come along side to help her in that ministry.

"One of our long-term burdens and a goal for this year was to minister to families here in Thailand. We held our first marriage and family conference this past May. Two other missionaries and I shared about the importance of the family in building a strong local church and society in general. We talked about how ministry to our families is a top priority over ministering to others. How to have a strong marriage and raise your children for the Lord were important parts of our day and a half of teaching. Most of those who attended were leaders in their churches. I believe they were not only blessed personally, but they also now have tools to help their congregations. If the family is weak, the church will be weak as well. We are thankful to have had this opportunity, and plan to do more of these conferences in different places.

We're so grateful for your prayers this past week during the EFM Fall Honduras Medical Brigade. God met us as we visited 4 needy communities, served 878 people and witnessed 113 salvations.

"We have had a burden for the youth, wanting to reach out to them, but not sure how to fit it in. Then God sent Tim and Esther Replogle with Society of Indian Missions, using them to help further our youth ministry. God is working on and speaking to several of the young men. “Bill” went to a youth camp where God touched his heart, and he prayed for forgiveness of his sins. The young people need a lot of prayer for God to get ahold of their hearts and keep them."
