LCCF awarded an Early Care and Education Grant to North Lawrence Community Schools enabling their North Lawrence Early Learning Center teachers to attend Conscious Discipline training. Training opportunities like this provide more resources for the teachers and further strengthen the quality care provided at the Early Learning Center.

The City of Mitchell, Indiana received a Mitchell Community Heritage Grant for their Mitchell Playground Project. The city has exciting plans to install an inclusive playground at the City Park. LCCF has offered a $1 for $1 match up to $50,000 toward the playground. If you would like to help Mitchell meet this match and raise the funds to make the playground a reality, you can send a donation to the City of Mitchell, 407 S. 6th St., Mitchell, IN 47446 or donate through Crowd Fund https://www.crowdfunder.com/p/mitchell-playground. Sadie Miskuf presented a Make My Day grant to Raptors Rise Rehabilitation Center. Watching over the grant presentation are Guardian and Cherokee, two bald eagles that have been recuperating from injuries and will soon be released back into the wild.

These precious cats were recently adopted from the White River Humane Society with assistance from an LCCF Pennington Grant that was awarded to WRHS. We are thrilled to have played a part in these cats finding their forever family and in bringing companionship to the kind families who adopted them.
