Every day, our team and volunteers work to help animals in our community, and we're honored to be recognized alongside so many incredible Indiana organizations.

🐾 Meet Spot & Tator! 🐾
These beautiful siblings were born on February 2 and are looking for loving forever homes!
💕 Spot is the dilute tortie. True to her tortie nature, she likes things her way! While she isn't a fan of being held, she loves curling up in your lap and will happily sleep in bed with you. Spot has been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Because she prefers a calmer environment, she would probably do best in a home without small children.
💙 Tator is a handsome Russian Blue mix who absolutely loves attention. She enjoys being held, cuddling in your lap, and sleeping in bed with her people. One of her favorite things to do is hide under the covers and snuggle close.
Both cats are litter box trained and have lived successfully with other cats and a dog. They are affectionate companions who are ready to become part of a family of their own.
If you're looking for a feline friend (or two!), Spot and Tator would love to meet you.

🐾 Bridge Puppies Update! 🐾
Many of you have been asking about the eight puppies who were dumped and rescued near the bridge, and we're happy to report that they are all doing well! ❤️
When they arrived, their little bellies were full of worms and they were dealing with some gastrointestinal issues, but thanks to lots of care, good food, and medical treatment, they are now healthy, happy puppies. They are playful, full of personality, and thriving.
While we can't know for certain what breed mix they are, we believe they may be medium-sized dogs, possibly Border Collie mixes. They are currently less than two months old and need a little more time to grow. Once they receive their next puppy vaccination, they will be ready to begin the search for forever families of their own.
Before adoption, each puppy will be:
✔️ Spayed or neutered
✔️ Microchipped
✔️ Dewormed
✔️ Up to date on vaccinations
Applications can be submitted online now. Once applications are approved and the puppies are old enough, families will be able to meet them.
These sweet babies were abandoned through no fault of their own, but their story is getting a happy ending. Thank you to everyone who supports White River Humane Society and helps us give animals like these puppies a second chance at life. 🐶❤️

Happy Tails Update! 🐾❤️
We are so happy that Shay, Casey, and Violet have all found their forever homes! These sweet kittens are now enjoying lives filled with playtime, cozy naps, tummy rubs, and all the love they deserve.
Watching shelter pets find families of their own is the reason we do what we do, and we couldn't be happier for this adorable trio as they begin their next chapter.
Thank you to their wonderful adopters for opening your hearts and homes. And thank you to everyone who chooses adoption and helps give homeless animals a second chance.
