What a SWEET SURPRISE! These little ladies decided to spend their own money on items for the shelter pets. Mom & dad checked our "most wanted" list and made sure it wasn't ALL toys 🥰 that got selected.

We love seeing our community come together to give animals a second chance at finding a loving forever home. Owning a pet is a lifelong commitment. While we understand not everyone is in a position to adopt, these acts of generosity and kindness make a BIG difference for the animals and those who step up to take care of them

𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗬 - Please consider giving KIRBY his "new leash on life." Kirby is coming up on his 2nd Christmas at our shelter. He is one of our longest stay residents. So what's taking so long 🤔?

KIRBY does not have the best kennel presentation when visitors come through the shelter. He tends to get a little nervous and backs up in his kennel, which means he doesn't get selected for meet & greets with visitors. When he does get out of his kennel, he quickly warms up, especially if you're willing to PLAY BALL!

He is a handsome boy, around 4 years old, with brindle markings and a speckled, soft coat. We believe KIRBY would do best in a home where he is the only dog and where he will be in an environment where he can be active, meaning walks and play time. He is dreaming of the day where he can leave the shelter life behind. Wouldn't it be AMAZING if he had a home and soft bed to enjoy in time for this Christmas?!?!

❤️ FOSTERS MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE! ❤️

Do you remember these five tiny newborn kittens who came to us in September? They still had their umbilical cords attached, and their chances of survival were very slim. Without a foster willing to step up and feed them every few hours, day and night, they wouldn't have had a chance.

We found that wonderful foster, and although we sadly lost some along the way, the two remaining kittens are doing well and thriving thanks to the love and dedication of their foster mom! ❤️

This is why fostering is SO important. Sometimes animals are simply too young, too sick, or too frightened to survive in a shelter environment. A foster home can give them the one thing they need most: a chance.

We don't need fosters every day, but when we do, having someone willing to open their home can literally mean the difference between life and death.

This sweet girl was found by a Good Samaritan in the 1300 block of 2nd Street in Bedford and brought to White River Humane Society.

She is a female and unfortunately is not microchipped. We would love to get her safely back home!

Three sweet pups, three happy endings! ❤️🐾

Our hearts are so happy knowing that Diego (now Digger), Dolly, and Harper have each found a family to call their own! There is nothing more special than seeing these sweet faces go from waiting for a home to being surrounded by the love and happiness they deserve. We couldn't be happier for each of them!
