This is a reminder of our Lawrence County Rock Club meeting this Saturday, June 6 at 6:00 PM, StoneGate Arts & Education Center in downtown Bedford, Room 200/201 on the second floor. There is an elevator. The program will be on rock tumbling. Another public program related to the downtown Limestone Festival will be happening in the auditorium that night so all doors should be unlocked. There is parking available behind the building.

Our May 2 rock club meeting was very interesting. There was an excellent presentation by Scott Winters on trilobites where attendees learned about these fascinating fossils.

Several visitors attended the meeting and 3 new members were welcomed into the club.

People brought many interesting fossils and rocks for Show and Tell.

Thank you to everyone who attended and we look forward to seeing everyone at our June 6 meeting when the presentation will be on rock tumbling.

The Lawrence County Rock Club met Saturday evening, March 7 at 6 pm at the StoneGate Arts & Education Building in Bedford, Indiana. Andria Karshner gave an excellent presentation on the Mohs Scale of Hardness used for mineral identification. Following refreshments, there was show and tell, an update on the gem, mineral, and fossil show to be held in June, and discussion of possible upcoming field trips.
