EAGLE SCOUT LEGEND: STEVEN SPIELBERG—Long before Steven Spielberg became one of the most influential filmmakers in history, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

His journey behind the camera even has roots in Scouting. While working toward the Photography merit badge, a young Spielberg created an 8mm film, helping spark a lifelong passion for visual storytelling.

From Jaws and E.T. to Jurassic Park and Schindler’s List, Spielberg went on to shape generations of filmmaking. In 1989, he was also recognized with the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award.

His story is a reminder that the skills, interests, and confidence developed through Scouting can become the foundation for extraordinary things.

Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.

The pack met up for a bike ride on the fanno creek trail, total distance was 7 miles! The weather was perfect and we learned about bikes and had a blast!

We had a fun time at the Oregon coast today! We cleaned up a trail to the beach and a section of the beach. There was kite flying, digging in the sand, waves, and s’mores! Thanks to all those who made the trek!
