Southeast Texas Family Resource Center Eighty percent of our students are from single parent homes, and therefore, they would arrive home to an empty house, but for our programs.

The Family Resource Center serves children and young people in our community through after-school programs and summer educational enrichment, including computer literacy instruction, assistance with schoolwork, and food programs. 100% of our children are on free and reduced lunch program. We provide tutoring and homework facilitation, as well as a meal for these students. We communicate with tea

Field trips started early this year! Our 7-8 year old class got to spend 3 days The Giving Field on Liberty St. They explored the garden, interacted with the chickens, and got to pick and shuck peas! Our board member Ms. Suzanne happened to be at the field the same day we were, so she got to join in our activities! Thanks for such a fun experience!

Our first week of summer camp is underway, and students are already learning in a variety of engaging ways. Our 9–10-year-olds have been using STEM skills to build creative structures with toothpicks and marshmallows. Ms. Ella and Ms. Madison have sparked their curiosity by blending creativity with hands-on learning in a fun and meaningful way.
