Are you - or someone you know - a secret (or not-so-secret) puzzle enthusiast? Have puzzles you'd like to trade for something new? Then we have an event for you! The Beaufort Branch is hosting a puzzle swap on Friday, November 6, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Donated puzzles will be accepted from October 19 through November 2. Please, donate only puzzles that are in good condition and have all the pieces.

Join us at Fort Fremont on October 22 for another Tales & Trails adventure! Tales & Trails combines the magic of storytime with the wonders of nature. Partnering with the County Naturalist, we’ll read together, explore local trails, create nature-inspired crafts, and discover the plants and animals that share our world. The theme will be Creepy Crawlies! 🐛🦗🪱

Join Beaufort residents, travel journalists, and authors, Lynn and Cele Seldon, as they discuss Lynn’s new book, Pat Conroy’s Lowcountry (The History Press/Arcadia Publishing) and their decade-long relationship with Pat Conroy and his widow, Cassandra King. Hear how Conroy’s time in the Lowcountry as a student, teacher, and author inspired a lifetime of storytelling and how that personal connection impacted his writings, movies, and more. And learn how the Pat Conroy Literary Center and the Pat Conroy Literary Festival are keeping his writing legacy and his commitment to literacy alive for future generations.

Check out this video (thank you .tv) of our Canvas of Cultura! Local Hispanic Artist Exhibit! The exhibit is open and FREE at the Bluffton Branch Library throughout Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 through October 15), during normal library hours.

Plus, don't miss Our Cultures, Our Stories/Nuestra Cultura, Nuestra Historia Hispanic Heritage celebration this Saturday, October 3 from 11am-1pm at the Bluffton Branch! There will be a professional dance group performance and cultural dress parade, representatives of Hispanic countries, live Latin music, children’s crafts, face painting, a bilingual storytime, and refreshments!
