PROJECT PEDAL POWER

Adam's Junk Removal is hosting Project Pedal Power today, Saturday August 29th, at Long Dock Park in Beacon, providing free bikes for kids.

Kids can get fitted for a bike, receive a free helmet, and take a ride through the obstacle course with Detective Underwood.

The event runs until 5:00 PM or until all bikes are gone.

Come down to Long Dock Park and join us for a great community event!

Yesterday Lt. Vargas, Officer Burns and Officer Thomas were out at the I Am Beacon Back to School Block Party in South Avenue Park handing out some back to school supplies and showing the kids around one of our vehicles. Thanks to I Am Beacon for putting together this great event every year.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the Town of Newburgh Police Department as they mourn the loss of Detective Christopher Thompson. Our hearts go out to his family, friends and fellow officers.

Officers from B Line shift, along with Beacon Professional Firefighters IAFF L-3490, and City of Beacon DPW turned out for a Mini Touch-A-Truck event with the Summer Camp hosted by the City of Beacon Parks and Recreation Department. Attendees got to ask our city employees about their jobs and see up close the equipment that helps keep the city safe and running! Special thanks to Beacon Recreation Director Mark Price for inviting us to attend!
