We have big news! We are one of 48 organizations across the U.S. that were awarded a Creative Forces Community Engagement Grant, part of the Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network.

This grant will support a workshop and performance series in Washington, DC in partnership with our friends over at ASAP addressing the experiences, challenges, and strengths of our military communities through the arts.

Kicking off our Fall Season next week with a workshop series in East Orange, NJ!

Designed for military veterans these movement workshops don’t require any dance experience, just a willingness to show up and move. Join for one or all three! Pre-registration required.

Thank you to the Salmagundi Club for hosting Journeys Onward and creating a space where the stories of military veterans and their families could be shared through art, poetry, and dance.
We’re truly honored to have been part of such a meaningful event.

Next Thursday, Exit12 is pleased to return to the Salmugundi Club and perform as part of the Journeys Onward reception evening.

Curated by Omar Columbus, a U.S. Air Force veteran and photographer, and Paul M. Murray, an award-winning photographer and son of two WW II veterans, the 2026 exhibit includes over 100 works across many mediums from more than 35 veteran artists.

As part of the Salmagundi Club of New York’s ongoing dialogue with the military community, Journeys Onward is a powerful and inspiring exhibition that showcases the art and accompanying words of military veterans or their family members, shedding light on their unique experiences, both shared and individual.

The exhibition reception will feature selected poetry readings by NYC-area veterans from Poetic Theater Productions - Veteran Voices and veteran guest poets as well as a dance performance by Exit12.

Exit12 is excited to announce that we are on the roster of the CUNY Dance Initiative CUNY Dance Initiative partnering with John Jay College and the Gerald W. Lynch Theater. We will be developing a new work and performance for November 2026 with NYC Female Veterans.

Our 2025-2026 season was one for the books! We toured to Montana, Arizona, New Mexico, and DC along with performances in Beacon, NY and throughout NYC closing with our fourth annual Stories of War with the Intrepid Museum. We have so many wonderful photos from that performance we had trouble deciding which ones to share first.

Exit12 honors Memorial Day each year with its performance at the Intrepid Museum in NYC. For the first year we created our Wall of Honor, a site of remembrance on our website, to honor those who have served and are no longer with us. Join us this Memorial Day and visit our Wall of Honor, read a little about those we remember, and say their names so we do not forget.

If you have someone you would like us to remember, send us a photo and a short memorial and we will post it on the Wall.
