CSEA Executive Vice President Jarvis Brown was at the Southern Region Office last night presenting the CSEA President/Vice President Academy, one of our union's required trainings for elected officers.

Brown's motto is "Communicate to Educate," which was evident through the back to basics course that allowed even the most seasoned officers to leave the training with new knowledge about our union and skills to carry out their CSEA leadership roles.

Officers from Westchester County completed this course on Saturday at the CSEA Local 860 Office, as well.

Yesterday was a lovely day for the CSEA Retirees LOCAL 917 annual fall luncheon, held this year at the Town of Wallkill Golf Club 🍂🍁

The event brought retirees together from Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties, reuniting old work friends and allowing for new connections. The keynote speaker was state Sen. James Skoufis, who has led the way in a number of fights helping CSEA members, including protecting Goshen Secure Center, Mid Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center, advancing protections for DMNA firefighters at Stewart Air National Guard Base and more.

Retirees also received an update from Political Action Coordinator Chris Ludlow and enjoyed some fun trivia at the conclusion of the luncheon.

Kudos to Local President Juanita Johnson and her officers for their teamwork hosting a fantastic event!

Our retirees are always keeping busy and today was no exception! Members of CSEA Westchester County Retirees Local 921 gathered at the CSEA Local 860 Westchester County office in White Plains to write out postcards to fellow CSEA retirees ahead of the November election. The postcards highlight our union's endorsed candidates and contain brief personal messages from our retiree activists.
