We had a packed house Thursday night for our Retirement Seminar, presented by Jason Cooper and Amber Ryan of the New York State and Local Retirement System.

Their presentation was extremely well received by attendees, who appreciated the guidance they received as they approach retirement and consider some of the choices they'll have to make.

Those all sound like the making of a good day for CSEA members from our Westchester Medical Center Unit! Unit President Sue Fontana and her team welcomed the ice cream truck to the WMC campus today as part of CSEA Member Appreciation Month.

On Memorial Day, CSEA honors and remembers the brave people who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Probation officers face on-the-job risks similar to other law enforcement yet do not receive the same benefits when they are injured.

Probation officers who are injured at work get only partial wage replacement through workers compensation and many are forced to use PTO to make ends meet. Police, corrections officers, and others receive full pay and medical coverage when injured.

CSEA is fighting to fix this disparity and provide full pay and medical coverage to probation officers when they are injured.

Write a letter to your legislators and urge them to pass A.2535/S.8837 to provide fairness to injured probation officers.
