Beacon Santas is back for our 4th year!
Santas, You have helped over 200 families since we began in 2019, and the help is needed now more than ever.
There are some guidelines this year to keep things both Merry and Bright, so please read on to learn how you can help or be helped:
For families seeking assistance this holiday season:
If you have fallen on hard times and could use help getting your children gifts, winter clothing, baby supplies, food, etc this Christmas, and live in Beacon/Fishkill/Wappingers, please write to us, we are accepting families now who need help from Beacon Santas.
Please write us a Very detailed message that explains your circumstance, why you could use some extra help, and then info about your kids! Their ages, clothing sizes, and the things they are hoping for. Please be as specific as possible.
Please also take an opportunity to put together an Amazon Wishlist so that when you are matched with a Santa, you have a link ready to send.
Please send a message to me directly through this page (https://www.facebook.com/BeaconSantas?mibextid=LQQJ4d ) (important!) Requests can be made for children age 12 and under. Please remain mindful that our Santas have generous spirits, but real budgets - so please keep requests moderate. Any requests for high priced items like video game consoles, Ugg boots, etc, will expunge your participation in Beacon Santas entirely.
To our Santas:
Please watch for posts in our Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/beaconsantas/?ref=share_group_link) and comment on whichever post/family you feel called to help. You may adopt a family entirely, or you may choose to team up with other Santas. Please specify in your comment whether you’d like to be on a team of Santas, or adopt the family independently.
For both Santas and Families:
Once a family has been adopted, I will update the post, and connect the adopted family with their Santa(s) via a group message on Facebook.
If you have any questions, please message me. Thanks to everyone who has helped to make Beacon Santas such a success, and a loved part of such a special community.

I promise that Everyone needs help - in some form or another - at some point. And after the presents are unwrapped and tucked away, it’s the kindness that’s the gift.
Our humanity is the gift.
I hope that more often we can feel encouraged and safe to turn to each other, even if we are strangers. We’re not strangers. We are neighbors.
Hopefully, we can begin to realize that balance is ours to create. That wealth and love and generosity - in all forms - grow when they are shared.
