Fareground Fareground increases access to healthy food! Fareground aims to collaborate to serve the community in a variety of ways to create fair ground.

Fareground, Inc., a charitable 501(c)(3) is a food justice, anti-hunger organization, dedicated to nourishing the community by operating free marketplaces, community fridges, tiny food pantries, and other programs to distribute fresh and prepared foods. With a focus on healthy food and accessibility for all, Fareground promotes the necessary changes to build local food security. Fareground strives

to:

Provide local, organic food whenever possible. We work with local farms and organizations to secure donations or affordable food. Honor our community and all of its members, regardless of sexual orientation, gender, religious beliefs, political beliefs, education levels, or socioeconomic class. We value inclusivity and equity. Reach out and help to meet the needs of our community. We connect with the community in a variety of ways (i.e. coat drives, food drives, first responders to crises, social services, etc.). Eliminate hunger by creating a bridge between communities by addressing poverty and sustainability. We are continuously examining privilege and disparities and disrupt this whenever possible. Be as ecologically sound as possible and maintain the utmost respect for our environment. We recycle, compost, and use actual dishes, cups, and cutlery to prevent waste.

Our volunteers mean everything to us! We’re extremely sad to see Justin go—a dedicated and kind person who has been incredibly consistent in supporting Fareground.

🚘 Every Wednesday, Justin signed up for our delivery shift and helped us deliver groceries to folks who are homebound and unable to attend our monthly markets.

💚 Justin has also helped Fareground with our quarterly volunteer trainings and many other activities.

Losing someone like him will definitely have an impact on us! 😔

Due to the flow of participation and the time it takes to clean up, we will be closing the kitchen at 7pm for clean up.The dining room will stay open till 7:30. If you arrive after 7pm, meals packed in “to go” containers will be available to eat in the dining room or to go, until they run out.

⭐️ Located at Memorial Park on Robert Cahill Drive in Beacon, NY, 12508
⭐️ Enter the park near Ron’s Ice Cream and drive around until you are behind the school. You will be in a line of cars driving through the distribution.
⭐️ Mutual Aid Beacon runs a drive thru free food distribution on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month at Memorial Park in Beacon. First Wednesday is for seniors age 60+ (or with a senior in the household), third Wednesday is open to all.
⭐️Please note: This is NOT a Fareground event. We are helping to spread the word about Mutual Aid Beacon’s event.

🥕🥕 Our WAPPINGERS FALLS Free Farm Stand will be this Friday! Tell your neighbors!This Free Farm Stand will offer vegetables, fruits, dairy products, and meats.

✅ We understand that no one likes to wait in line and that may cause frustration. Our volunteers do their very best to ensure that everything goes as smoothly and fast as possible. We kindly ask everyone (volunteers, staff, and every community member) for their patience and kindness toward everyone present.
