Solaris Voices

Solaris Voices Solaris Voices is a group of Opera and Broadway singers that offer concert fundraisers in the Hudson Valley Area. It is the art of pure singing.

SOLARIS = (latin) Derived from, relating to, or caused by the sun
VOICES = refers not only to voice as a singing instrument but also to the ability of human voices to express an array of thoughts, emotions, opinions and actions. Solaris Voices pursues two equally important goals that contribute to the well-being of a healthy, lively community: raising needed funds for local non-for-profit organiza

tions; and expanding and diversifying audiences for live classical performances by local high-caliber professional musicians. Solaris Voices creates a unique and entertaining program of songs and arias and teams up with a non-for profit organization to produce a one of a kind event. All donations and profits from Solaris Voices concerts are made to Solaris Opera Fund. The Solaris Opera Fund is sponsored and established by the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley to support philanthropy for non-for profit organizations and encourage live performances of classically trained musicians in the area. All contributions to Solaris Voices are tax-exempt through the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley. We live in an amazing world where you can search, download and listen to a song by any artist without leaving your home. Solaris Voices is dedicated to presenting the completely different and utterly exhilarating experience of a live concert. To see and to hear a well-trained classical singer at work is a thrilling experience. The voice is a unique instrument that is built while it is played on at the moment of action. Add the emotion and personality of a performer, add poetry and melody, and it is an experience that touches the soul on a profound human level. Solaris Voices will engender a deeper appreciation and understanding of the singing voice as it is, without use of microphones or equalizers. SOLARIS VOICES are not only the voices of singers who share their talents and craft, but also the the audience who voice their support of culture and philanthropy by attending and participating in SOLARIS VOICES concert fundraisers.
