💙 FCC DONATION UPDATE 💙

We are so incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported Fostering Coastal Connections! Your generosity keeps us going and allows us to continue helping local children and families. 🫶

📢 At this time, we are placing a DONATION HOLD through October 10.

Our storage is full, and we want to make sure we have room to properly organize and serve the families who need us. ❤️

There are just a few things we DO still need right now:

🥫 Food pantry items
🍼 Baby formula
🧺 Laundry detergent
💙 Financial support

If you would like to help financially, every dollar makes a difference and helps us purchase the things our families need most.

Thank you for understanding, supporting us, sharing our mission, and always showing up for FCC! We appreciate our community more than you know. 💙

💙 AS WE CLOSE OUT AUGUST… WE ARE SO GRATEFUL! 💙

Whew… we told y’all we’ve been BUSY! 👏👏👏 And the numbers prove it!

👕🧸 Our Clothes Closet was visited 75 TIMES during the month of August! 🎉

That’s 75 visits. 75 opportunities to help. 75 times a family walked through our doors and found something they needed. ❤️

We are so incredibly thankful for every family who trusts us, every volunteer who gives their time, and every person who donates to help keep our shelves and racks stocked.

This is exactly why Fostering Coastal Connections exists — to connect families with the resources and support they need. 💙

And we’re not slowing down! 😉

They blessed Fostering Coastal Connections with a trailer FULL of donations… plus an entire car full! 🚙🛻📦💙

These donations are going to make such a difference for the children and families we serve. Every box, bag, and item means we can continue helping families get the things they need.

Wednesday Wishlist 💙

Happy Wednesday from FCC! 💙 We have a few things on our wishlist this week, and every donation—big or small—helps us continue serving local families.

🏠 Funds for everyday expenses
We could really use help with the costs that keep our doors open, including lights, storage, rent, and utilities.

🧸 PJs
Sizes 6 through Adult XL for both boys & girls

👕 Boys’ Clothing
Sizes 12–16

📦 Storage Containers
We are working hard to get organized and could definitely use more storage containers!

🥫 Food Pantry Items
Non-perishable foods are always needed and appreciated.

😢 Unfortunately, we are CLOSED today. We’re sorry for any inconvenience! We are planning to be OPEN FRIDAY and look forward to seeing everyone then. 💙

Why do we do what we do? ❤️

Today, 10 families were able to shop at our Clothes Closet and get the things they needed for their families. 🥰

This is exactly why FCC exists. This is why we sort, organize, collect, clean, stock, and sometimes feel like we are bursting at the seams! 😂❤️

But we can’t do it alone. We need YOU.

Every donation, every volunteer hour, every monetary gift, and every person who shares our posts helps us continue saying YES to families who need us.

Ten families helped today. Tomorrow, there will be more.

This is why we need you. This is why YOU matter. ❤️

🩷 WE NEED YOU! 🩷

As most of you know, FCC has a 3,000-square-foot building that we use for our shop/clothes closet—and guess what?! 😳

WE ARE BUSTING AT THE SEAMS! 😂

And there’s a very good reason why! Our clothes closet has already been visited 65 TIMES just this month in August! 😱❤️

That means 65 visits from families who needed clothing, shoes, toiletries, household items and other essentials. We are so incredibly blessed to be able to help, but with that much traffic, we are going through donations quickly and running out of room to store everything!

Right now, we’ve had to rent a couple of storage units until we can get organized. We are working hard on getting everything sorted and organized, and hopefully by the end of the month, we’ll be there! 🙌

As much as we would LOVE a bigger space, unfortunately, that isn’t in our budget right now. Unless, of course, someone wants to donate a bigger building to a nonprofit! 😉😂

But until then, WE NEED YOUR HELP! ❤️

Here are some things we are in GREAT need of:

💰 Monetary Donations
Help us cover our ongoing expenses, including:
• Lights
• Rent
• Water
• Storage units
• And all the other expenses that come with keeping FCC running!

🟡🔴 Yellow or Red-Top Storage Bins
We need A LOT of these to help us organize and store donations!

🗄️ Bin Holders/Shelving
We need several of the bin holders like the one pictured. They can be purchased OR even built if you’re handy! 🔨

Every donation—big or small—helps us continue serving foster, adoptive, kinship, reunifying and aging-out families in our community. ❤️

FCC would like to send a heartfelt thank you to First Presbyterian Church of Bay Minette for your generous monetary donation! Your support means so much to us and helps us continue serving children and families in our community. 🫶

We also want to give a special thank you to the church family who donated NEW pajamas! 🩷🩵 These will go directly to children who need them, and we are so grateful for your kindness and generosity.

It truly takes a community to make a difference, and we are blessed to have such an amazing community supporting FCC! 💙
