And just like that… the 2025–2026 school year has LEFT THE CHAT 🎤🐾

WHAT. A. YEAR.
Someone please check on us… because how did we pull all of this off?! 😂💙

✨ Gave our playground a full glow-up with fresh paint and inclusive play equipment
🍬 Survived (and conquered) Candy Grams season
🎃 Hosted an EPIC Trunk or Treat Spooktacular (legendary behavior)
🍿 Spoiled our kiddos nonstop with popcorn, cotton candy, snacks, treats, and random “because we love you” fun
💙 Absolutely spoiled our teachers with Thanks-A-Lot trolleys, brunches, lunches, coffees, snacks, apparel, and basically all the love
☕ Pulled off one of the COOLEST Teacher Appreciation Weeks ever—multi-day coffee trucks, gelato, catered lunches, and treats galore
🥐 Celebrated our classified staff with treats and catered brunches (as they DESERVE)
📚 Funded alllll the classroom things: sensory boxes, centers, field trips, individual talking headsets, sensory headphones, testing treats, art supplies, library tech, lost & found hooks (because apparently everything gets lost), and so much more
❄️ Leveled up Field Day with a wild fun station and snow cones
🎶 Ran monthly “Name That Tune” challenges—yes, the kids crushed it
🎉 Spoiled our principals for Assistant Principal & Principal Appreciation Days
👕 Dropped fresh school spirit apparel (you’re welcome 😎)
🏁 Launched the Amazing Race to Winter Break for teachers (no injuries reported)
🐾 Gave our mascot a much-needed upgrade
🎤 Supported our Wildcat Choir holiday and spring concerts
💃🕺 AND… lit up the school with our GLOW-IN-THE-DARK SCHOOL DANCE because normal dances are boring and we don’t do boring ✨🌈
🎓 Hosted our FIRST EVER Kindergarten Celebration (cue the happy tears)
🎓 Pulled off our FIRST EVER Fourth Grade Moving-Up Celebration (also cue the happy tears)
🍔 Helped make Family BBQ Day happen
🥗 Wrapped it up with a Wildcat Teacher End-of-Year Celebration Lunch

And I know I’m forgetting things—drop them in the comments (because our brains are officially on summer break) ☀️👇

The late nights. The candy-gram assembly lines. The friendships. The laughs. The slightly unhinged ideas. And the fact that whenever we forgot something, Amber magically had it in her classroom—every. single. time. 😂💙

It’s been a WILD ride… and honestly? I’d do it all over again.
So what do you say—same time next year? 🐾🔥

💙 PTO Announcement | Welcome Our New Vice President! 💙

Due to a professional change, our Vice President, Haley, has had to step down from her executive role on the MGP PTO Board. We are so grateful for her time, dedication, and all she has contributed to our PTO—thank you, Haley! 💐

In accordance with our PTO Bylaws (Article III, Section 4), when a vacancy occurs prior to an election period, the President may appoint a candidate to fill the position. An executive board meeting was held, the candidate was included, and the appointment was approved by a majority (50% + 1) vote. The appointed member will serve the remainder of the current term.

✨ Without further ado, please join us in welcoming Stephanie Obotette as our newly appointed PTO Vice President! ✨

Steph is no stranger to MGP or to volunteering. She has been a huge part of our PTO events and activities and most recently served as our Community Outreach Coordinator during the second half of the 25/26 school year. In that role, she helped bridge meaningful connections with local businesses and supported fundraising opportunities that directly benefit our Wildcats.

We are beyond excited to work shoulder to shoulder with Steph as we gear up for another fun-filled year ahead! 🐾💙

👏 Thank you, Steph, for stepping into this role and for your continued dedication to our MGP community!

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Our Superstar Bev! 🌟

There truly aren’t enough words to describe how near and dear Bev is to all of us! She is the most selfless, happy-go-lucky, and genuine person you will ever meet, and she is a true pillar of our school community. ❤️

Bev is always there to lend a hand, fiercely support our Wildcats, and she almost never misses an event! She has generously donated so much of her time, effort, energy, and—let's not forget—endless amounts of candy 🍬 to our kiddos and the school district alike.

To say we are grateful for Bev is a massive understatement! She brought her signature sparkle to so many major moments this year, including:

Family BBQ Day: Rolling up her sleeves to make it a massive success. 🍔☀️

Trunk or Treat: Bringing the fun, the spirit (and the treats!) to one of our favorite nights. 🎃👻

Flag Education: Taking the time to teach our kiddos about the flag and share meaningful community traditions. 🇺🇸

Countless School Days & Events: Always showing up exactly when and where she is needed most.

We are yelling it loudly and proudly: THANK YOU, BEV! 🙌✨

We are so incredibly thankful for everything you’ve done this year and for helping us pull off so many unforgettable events. We are so honored to have you as part of our team. Our Wildcat family is brighter, sweeter, and so much better because of you! 🐾🐾

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: OUR LINDA! 🌟

Please meet Linda, our wonderfully sweet-as-honey volunteer! 🍯✨

Linda was introduced to us through the BG Lions Club, and she is an all-around incredible person who is always there to lend a hand. If there was an event happening this year, chances are Linda was there making it happen!
Here are just a few ways she brought her magic to our school this year:

Lunch Buddy: Hanging out and bringing smiles to the cafeteria.

End-of-Year Life Saver: She completely saved the day at our busiest events, especially the 4th Grade Moving Up Celebration and the Donuts with Grownups Kinder Celebration! 🍩

BBQ Rock Star: She worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure our Family BBQ Day went off without a hitch! 🍔☀️

Linda is a sweet little bundle of joy who truly loves giving back to her community—and even more so to our Wildcat community! 🐾
The kids absolutely adore her, and the PTO and staff love her more than she’ll ever know. We are so incredibly lucky to have her. Our events wouldn't be nearly as special without Linda’s beautiful smile and the magic sparkle she attaches to everything she touches!

Thank you, Linda, for everything you do! ❤️

Has your kiddo come home talking about a mysterious, magical being named “Mema” or “Miss Pam”? 🕵️‍♂️ No, they haven’t invented an imaginary friend—let us introduce you to the myth, the mythic helper, the LEGENDARY Maple Grove Mema!

Not only is she a proud Wildcats grandmother, but she’s also the mom of one of our awesome SLPs (good genes run in the family!).

Miss Pam is our resident volunteer queen, a PTO lifesaver, and the ultimate "I got it!" kinda gal. Need help in the art room? She’s there. A lunch buddy? She’s on it. Someone to read with the kids or jump into a classroom at a moment's notice? Cue the superhero music. 🦸‍♀️ Around here, she wears about fifty different capes.

She is truly the top-of-the-line, one-of-a-kind MVP of the Wildcat den. The kids adore her beyond measure, and honestly, we’re convinced she has cloned herself because we don’t know how we’d survive without our right hand. We love you endlessly, Mema! Thank you for ALL you’ve done this year to help the wildcats shine bright !!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🩵🩵🩵

One of our hardest see-ya-laters is to our incredible Assistant Principal, Mrs. Drake! 🦆💛
Truly legendary beyond compare, she’s a master at keeping all her little ducklings in line—always with patience, heart, and just the right amount of magic. Our halls won’t be the same without her leadership, laughter, and love. We are so grateful for everything she’s given our school and wish her nothing but the very best on her next adventure!

Our very own AP goose who’s always on the loose …. Is OUT! 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Here’s a quick recap of our very rainy—but VERY fun—Field Day on Monday!! ☔️🎉

Rain or shine, we made it happen! We enjoyed activities both in the gym and outside, had some amazing volunteers bravely take a turn in the dunk bucket, cooled off with snow cones, and brought ALL the energy. We showed up, showed out, and had an absolute blast!

🎥 Stay tuned for a Field Day highlight video coming soon!

A HUGE thank you to all of our parent volunteers who came out and helped make this event so incredible. We couldn’t have done it without you! 💙🐾

We ALSO held MGP’s first annual Kindergarten Celebration today!!! 🎉

Our team worked incredibly hard to plan and execute this special event, and we’re so proud to say it was a huge success. From start to finish, it was filled with smiles, excitement, and sweet memories for our kinders and their grownups.

BG, you truly showed up for Donuts with Grownups! 🍩💙

Thank you for the amazing support—your presence means everything to our school community. We hope you enjoyed celebrating our kindergarten Wildcats as much as we loved hosting this special moment for them!

PEACE OUT KINDERGARTEN— we’re heading to 1st grade!!!

Today, the MGP staff came together to celebrate Camp Wildcat as we prepare to close out another school year. While this is always a joyful time—summer is here—it’s also a bittersweet one as we face the unfortunate staffing cuts ahead.

We honored some of our Wildcats who are retiring, said see you soon to those moving on to other schools, and held space for the heavy reality of change. We are a parent-teacher organization built on deeply involved teachers, staff, and families. Our Wildcat den means everything to us—and losing members of our pack is truly heartbreaking.

As we wrap up the 25/26 school year, may we carry gratitude for the memories, strength for the changes, and love for the community that makes MGP so special.

Make sure your paws are high. 🐾
