💜 Why is Rural Pride Important to You? 🌈

We're asking members of our community to share why rural Pride matters to them. Here's what one community member had to say:

"I think it’s important to have Pride in small towns, as well as big cities. I’m kind of a homebody, but I want to show support for LGBTQ+ people beyond putting a flag on my house. BG Pride makes me feel like there are still people who care for their community, with mutual aid, a sensory room, outdoor and indoor options, and masks which make it a safer event for everybody. My kids and I had a great time last year, and we’re looking forward to seeing folks there again soon!"

This reminds us that Pride isn't just about celebration, it's about creating spaces where people can safely participate, connect, and belong. For many community members, our indoor respirator requirement isn't just a policy; it's what makes attending possible. It's one way we strive to make Battle Ground Pride welcoming to as many people as we can.

We're asking members of our community why rural Pride matters to them. Here's what one community member shared:

"Battle Ground Pride is important to me because it represents love, acceptance, joy, and community! It's a place where we can all be our true selves and feel safe with each other. Rural Pride events are more intimate, and people have a better opportunity to really engage with each other during a time when we really need that. The feeling of safety and acceptance for one day fuels me, it keeps me going, and gives me hope that one day the q***r community in Battle Ground will feel safe and loved at all times and in all areas of the community."

We have a small update to this year's Passport to Pride!

Our friends at Brunch’d have moved out of town. While we're sad to see them go, we're so grateful for the support they've shown our community over the years, and we wish them all the best on their next adventure! 💜

If you'd still like to visit Brunch'd, you're welcome to stop by their new location and collect your Passport to Pride stamp there.

💜 Why is Rural Pride Important to You? 🌈

We're asking members of our community why rural Pride matters to them. Here's what one community member shared:

"I think, plain and simply, Pride and this includes the Battle Ground Pride event I went to last year is nice because I can have a direct experience, proof, and reminder that I'm normal and not just 'other.'"

Sometimes the biggest impact of Pride isn't a performance or a parade, it's the simple feeling of belonging. Knowing you're not alone. Seeing your community show up. Being reminded that you deserve to exist, to be seen, and to be part of your hometown just as you are.

🎤 Join Us for Our Opening Ceremony & Guest Speakers 🌈

Battle Ground Pride will begin with a Land Acknowledgement followed by guest speakers as we come together to celebrate community, belonging, and Pride.

📍 Outdoor Patio (masks encouraged)
🕛 Opening Ceremony & Entertainment begin at 12:00 PM (doors open at 11 AM)

After our speakers, stick around as our entertainment kicks off and the celebration continues throughout the afternoon!

We hope you'll join us as we open Battle Ground Pride by recognizing the land of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe we gather on, hearing from community voices, and celebrating what brings us together.

😷 KN95 (or better) respirators/masks are required indoors to help make a safer space for everyone we share air with. Masking is encouraged outside. Masks will be provided at the door while supplies last.
