NORTH COUNTY COMMUNITY FOOD BANK HAS OUTGROWN ITS CURRENT BUILDING!!
We need your help finding a new building or land to purchase. We're ready to move forward. Please read, watch the video and follow our page. Sharing this post from our FB page is very much appreciated!

Today, more than 950 families each month are being served from a facility with only about 1,200 square feet of usable space.

Volunteers move thousands of pounds of food every week, much of it by hand. Many volunteers are seniors, and boxes can weigh up to 75 pounds.

The current facility has:

• No loading dock
• Narrow aisles
• Very limited parking
• Inadequate food storage
• No dedicated classroom space
• Limited ability to offer grocery-style shopping

The Food Bank is currently renting three additional storage spaces at nearly $1,000 per month simply because the building can no longer hold the inventory needed to serve the community.

The vision is a new facility of approximately 11,000 square feet with safer loading areas, better storage, wider aisles, adequate parking, classrooms, a commercial training kitchen, and space for community service partners.

North Clark County is growing.

The need is growing with it.

We’ve outgrown the building. Not the mission.

On World Food Day, we are reminded that hunger is a global challenge—and local action matters.

Here in Clark County, we support neighbors experiencing food insecurity with fresh and shelf-stable groceries, nutrition support, and connections to community resources. Every food box and every conversation is an opportunity to offer dignity, hope, and support to local families, children, and seniors.

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor the cultures, histories, and enduring contributions of Indigenous peoples, including the communities who have cared for this land since time immemorial.

At North County Community Food Bank, we recognize that food, culture, and community are deeply connected. We invite our neighbors in Battle Ground and across Clark County to take time to learn from Indigenous voices, traditions, and perspectives.

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian offers online exhibitions, collections, and firsthand stories that are a meaningful place to begin: https://americanindian.si.edu/

We wish our community a thoughtful and reflective Indigenous Peoples’ Day. We will reopen Tuesday, October 13th for regular services and donations.

Goats, yoga, and a good cause make up one of our favorite parts of Give More 24. Join North County Community Food Bank for Goat Yoga in the Park on Thursday, September 24 at 11:00 am at Battle Ground Central Park, 414 E Main Street. Krissy Rasmussen-Becker of Barre3 Felida leads the session, and the goats keep things lighthearted.

The event raises funds and awareness for hunger relief across North County, and it's a fun way to support the cause even if you can't donate. Join us and support the cause at givemore24.org/event/oi1orf.
