There is much excitement and the show is coming together very nicely. The Battle Ground Art Alliance holiday tree at Urban Basics in Battle Ground has many handmade, original ornaments still waiting to become part of your holiday tree. The ornaments are dona ted by BGAA members with the proceeds going to young art students in Battle Ground. Congrats to BGAA member Lois Steiner!

She just won the People’s Choice Award at the Portland Regional Rock and Gem show yesterday. The show is sponsored by 5 regional Rock and Gem organizations and is held at the Wingspan Event Center in Hillsboro.

And, she's getting ready for the Clark County Open Studios event Nov. 1 & 2 where you can find her on the map in studio #39 in Battle Ground.

TIME TO ENJOY:3 REMAINING DAVID MEEKS PLEIN AIR EVENTS!

The sessions continue as we start moving out of summer toward the fall season.

And what a great way to get out and enjoy the weather than by grabbing your paint kit and heading out the door!

About the Series: It's led by David Meeks, a painter for 27 years and it runs through September 12th.

Each Friday the class will meet at some of David’s favorite spots as shown below.

Here are the remaining events in the schedule:

• Saint Johns Bridge Sept 5th
• Silver Falls State Park Sept 12th

Cost: $25 per trip (An optional donation to BGAA is requested).

Also note that cash is now the only form of accepted onsite payment.

THIS SUNDAY JULY 13th - Art in the Garden Featuring Battle Ground Art Alliance Artists

Make plans to come out this coming Sunday, July 13th and an extraordinary event at Art in The Garden out in Brush Prairie.

Show hours are 10 AM – 4 PM at NatureScaping of Southwest Washington, 11000 NE 149th St, Brush Prairie, WA 98606.

This event is a “must see & must do”, bringing fantastic art into a naturescape that’s unparalleled in the region. There are 38 artists/vendors including several BGAA members with their art on display and for sale (and musicians/entertainment too)!

Member artists in the shared BGAA tent space (spot #4 on the map) include Joanne Andrew, Bev Birdwell, Alecia Hall, David Meeks, Kay Robart, Diane Springer, Darci Truax & JoyLynn Woodard.

Other BGAA artists on the map include Christine Pisarkiewicz aka Art by Christine (3), Garri Linardos aka Garlic Lizard (13), Gail Haskett aka A Glass Act (14), Jan Downs (16), Jules Koch (17) and Hiroko Stumpf aka Watercolors by Hiroko (36).
