Our 2026 Mobile Market season has officially wrapped up! Through our Mobile Market Program this year, we distributed over 430,000 pounds of fresh foods, including produce, meat, and dairy, to our neighbors facing food insecurity across South Michigan!

Thank you to all our program sponsors, volunteers, donors, farming partners, and our community partners who allow us to make this program possible. We can't thank you enough!

Our Mobile Markets will return in the spring of 2027. For information on other distributions and resources near you, please visit: https://smfoodbank.org/getfood/

Thank you so much to the Kalamazoo Growlers for having us at their first-ever Trick-or-Treat event last week!

We had a blast decorating our booth and handing out treats to the wonderful kids who stopped by. We're also honored to have won the booth contest! Thank you to everyone who voted for us.

We hope everyone had a fun-filled and safe Halloween weekend! 😁

Our 2026 Mitten Drive has begun! We will be partnering again with Marshall Community Credit Union to collect mittens and gloves to donate to local organizations.

All donations collected at SMFB's distribution center and MCCU's BC location will be donated to Battle Creek's Salvation Army. Donations from MCCU's Marshall location will benefit MI Thrift in Marshall, and donations from their Coldwater location will benefit Coach Eby.

Thank you to MCCU for being a valued partner of ours and for supporting our mission to end hunger in South Michigan!

South Michigan Food Bank's staff is practically family!

That's why some of our staff members dressed up as Dennis today, our Product Flow Manager. We love a good team spirit moment, especially when it means having a little Halloween fun! 😂🎃
