Usually, this is the post where we tell you that you showed up and showed out.
This year... those words don't even come close.
We're still trying to find the right words for what we experienced on Saturday.
What you created inside those doors was more than a festival. It was joy. It was love. It was belonging. It was hope. It was a reminder that our community is strong and so incredibly beautiful.
Every hug, every smile, every cheer, every tear, every dance, every conversationβwe felt it all. Looking out into a room filled with people celebrating exactly who they are and loving one another so openly is something we'll carry with us for a long time.
You didn't just support Baton Rouge Pride. You supported every performer who shared their talent, every vendor who poured their heart into their work, every community organization serving our LGBTQ+ family, every sponsor who believed in this event, and every volunteer who gave their time to make it happen.
To everyone who walked through those doors, and even those who couldn't be with us but cheered us on from afar, thank you. Truly. You remind us why this work matters.
Because of you, we're able to continue providing a FREE, family-friendly Pride celebration where people of every age can gather, feel welcome, and know they belong.
As we always say, Pride is a marathon, not a sprint. Saturday wasn't the finish lineβit was another step forward. We'll keep showing up for this community all year long, and we hope you'll keep showing up with us.
Keep choosing love. Keep lifting each other up. Keep creating spaces where people feel seen, celebrated, and safe.
You are the heart of Baton Rouge Pride.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving us a day we'll never forget.
And before we go... mark your calendars now. We'll do it all again on Saturday, June 26, 2027. We can't wait to celebrate with you as we continue building a community where everyone belongs.
We love you. πβ€οΈ
