The Louisiana Democracy Initiative (formerly The Justice Alliance) is a Louisiana-based, explicitly nonpartisan nonprofit committed to increasing democratic participation through technology, strategic communications, and civic advocacy. All across Louisiana, thousands of individuals, coalitions and organizations are climbing uphill battles to fundamentally reverse policies and systems that perpetu

ate inequality and inequity as well as restrict access to rights and opportunities vital for social mobility. They are fighting against established powers with ample resources, generational influence on policy makers and an ability to define the terms of the public debate on their terms. The Justice Alliance is dedicated to leveling the playing field by providing the campaign infrastructure, resources, experience and strategies necessary to finally advance the cause of justice, freedom and equality in Louisiana from the place where those core tenants of our Louisiana spirit originated: from the grassroots.
