This Wednesday, October 14th , we’re excited to welcome Elizabeth Mahusay, Founder of Go With Elizabeth, to our monthly luncheon!

Elizabeth will present “Own The Room: The RISE Framework for Confident Leadership.”
Confidence isn't something you're born with. It's something you build! Yet even the most accomplished women can find themselves questioning their abilities or relying on success for validation. In this engaging and interactive session, Elizabeth will introduce her RISE Framework, sharing practical strategies to strengthen confidence, communicate with greater influence, and lead with clarity, courage, and conviction.

Meet Elizabeth:
Elizabeth Mahusay is a keynote speaker, executive business coach, and multi-published author known as The Thinking Disruptor. She helps high-achieving leaders break through limiting thought patterns and develop the confidence to lead with intention. Through her dynamic presentations, Elizabeth transforms mindset work into practical action, using memorable messages like “ACT = Action Changes Things.” She is also the author of Pick Your Path: 21 Days to Set Your Leadership on the Right Course and host of the Thinking That Matters podcast. Her mission is to help leaders create lasting change in how they think, communicate, and show up.

NWLC!!!!
National Women's Leadership Conference in Sugar Land, TX hosted by our national office of ABWA was a HUGE success! Cami, Kayla, Tanya, Jackie, Elizabeth, and Olivia attended from La Capitale. There were so many highlights to the week including relationship development, leadership skills, personal growth, event planning, laughter, fun, and quite a few epiphanies!

Happy American Business Women’s Day! 🎉

Today, September 22, we celebrate the achievements, leadership, and contributions of women in the workforce and business community. It’s also a special day in ABWA history, marking the founding of the American Business Women’s Association on September 22, 1949.

For more than 75 years, ABWA has brought together women from diverse occupations to learn, lead, connect, and grow. And while we’re proud of the opportunities available to women today, we’re especially grateful for the women who came before us. The women who stepped into rooms where they weren’t always expected, created opportunities where there weren’t any, supported one another, and helped build organizations like ABWA so the generations after them could go even further.

We’ve thanked our sponsors, our donors, and everyone who came out to support Purse Bingo, but there is one final THANK YOU that may just be the biggest of all.
Behind every detail of Purse Bingo was a small but mighty Fundraising Committee that spent months bringing this event to life.

These women donated far more than just a few hours on event day. They gave their time, energy, ideas, expertise, connections, and plenty of behind-the-scenes work over months of planning. From securing sponsors and donations to planning prizes, coordinating details, promoting the event, solving problems, and ultimately making sure everything came together, they poured themselves into making our second annual Purse Bingo a success.

Volunteer leadership is at the heart of La Capitale. Events like this simply aren’t possible without members who are willing to step up, share their talents, and give their time in service to something bigger.
To Jackie, Kayla, Traci, and Melissa, THANK YOU. Thank you for the meetings, the phone calls, the texts, the ideas, the errands, the problem solving, the long hours, and all the things no one else ever sees.
