Thank You for Celebrating Black Philanthropy Month With Us!

Thank you to all of our chapter members who joined us on Wednesday, August 19, at the Southern University Welcome Center for our Black Philanthropy Month gathering.

This year’s Black Philanthropy Month theme, “Many Voices. One Movement.”, celebrates the collective power of Black philanthropy and reminds us that giving takes many forms, from financial investment to service, advocacy, leadership, relationship-building, and collective care.

Our gathering brought that theme to life through the panel discussion, “Many Voices, One Movement: Funding Black Communities in an Era of Retrenchment.” Together, we explored the changing philanthropic landscape, the importance of sustaining investment in Black communities, and the power of collaboration and community-informed leadership during challenging times.

We are grateful to everyone who made the time to attend, contribute to the conversation, and connect with fellow members. As Black Philanthropy Month continues, we encourage each of us to carry the spirit of Many Voices. One Movement. beyond August by continuing to amplify Black leadership, build meaningful partnerships, and champion investments that allow Black communities to thrive.

Thank you for being part of the conversation, the community, and the movement.

Fundraising feels different right now.

The tools are changing. Donors are asking different questions. Teams are trying to figure out what is still worth their time, what needs to change, and where AI actually helps without making everything sound like a robot wrote it.

Nobody has all of that figured out. That is why we built this day.
