The 2026 Fall Meeting of the Louisiana Meat Processors Association was a huge success! We were proud to welcome more than 50 attendees for our two-day conference in New Orleans, bringing together meat processors, industry partners, government officials, and friends of Louisiana agriculture.

A special thank you to our Executive Director, Joe Schwab and to our dedicated Board of Directors, led by LAMPA President Matt Dufour of Farm Fresh Foods. Their leadership and hard work helped make this weekend such a success.
We would also like to sincerely thank all of our sponsors for their generous support. Without our sponsors, we simply could not provide our members with a meeting of this magnitude. Your partnership and continued investment in Louisiana's meat processing industry are greatly appreciated.

A big thank you to Artemese Dolliole of We R Food Safety for sharing her expertise with the Louisiana Meat Processors Association during today's session:
"GFSI Certification Blueprint: What It Takes, What It Costs, and When to Start."

Artemese provided practical guidance on navigating the GFSI certification process, helping processors better understand the investment involved, the steps to prepare, and the importance of starting early. Her presentation offered valuable insights for businesses looking to strengthen their food safety programs and position themselves for future growth.
