VOLUNTEERS NEEDS: SATURDAYS IN MOTION

Saturdays in Motion is the longest-running recreational program for children on the autism spectrum in the U.S., and it's completely free to our community! Saturday afternoons, from fall to spring, at Somerset Hills YMCA, children, their families, and siblings join for two hours of fun – one hour in the gym and one in the pool.

The Y is looking for teenage volunteers to join us! Volunteers will be paired one–on–one with a children to play, have fun, and make a real difference all while giving their parents much needed caregiving respite. It's a truly rewarding experience!

Memory Cafe is a monthly gathering in a safe and supportive environment designed for individuals experiencing memory loss, Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease, Dementia, other memory challenges & their Caregivers. Join a comfortable, social gathering that allows people experiencing memory loss and a loved one to connect, socialize, and build new support networks. Cafes are free to attend and welcome to all.

Princeton YMCA, will be held on the last Tuesday of each month.
Somerset Hills YMCA, will be held on the last Wednesday of each month.
Hillsborough YMCA, will be held on the third Thursday of each month.

We are pleased to announce that Leah Horowitz has joined Greater Somerset County YMCA as a Youth Program Director in our Somerset Hills Branch.

Leah previously was with the Association for nearly a decade as a Dance Instructor & Program Assistant. She returns to the YMCA with experience in recreation management and community programming with the Downtown Somerville Alliance and the Bernardsville Recreation. In this role, Leah is excited to continue developing impactful programs, empowering staff, strengthening family engagement, and creating inclusive experiences.

Please join us in welcoming back Leah to GSCY and wishing her luck in her new role.
