Our Executive Director Kecia Copeland was on hand to celebrate this expansion and has played a central part in making it happen:

"The program began with 25 children. Four years later, Future Healers serves more than 1,300 kids and is expanding beyond Louisville through a partnership with Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee and partnerships with Rose Dodson Community Stem Program, the nonprofit Our Commonwealth and Flaget Memorial Hospital’s STEM program."

The program aimed at bridging the gap between the medical field and kids who experience gun violence, is now expanding to rural Ky. counties and across the globe.

We would like to share an update on the Our Commonwealth Rose Dodson Community STEM Program. Our "Kidz" are truly special, and we're incredibly proud of them and their parents for their awesome commitment to the program!

This is our third year, and we now have 94 students, with even more people inquiring about how to join. It has been an overwhelming and rewarding experience, and so thankful to everyone who has supported us. We are truly grateful!

A huge thanks you to Christopher II X and his amazing Future Healers Kiddo's Program, The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth , CHI Saint Joseph Health - Flaget Memorial Hospital & Foundation , Bardstown City Schools, Sarah Curtsinger - State Farm Insurance Agent and the Firstbaptistchurch Bardstown Ky for the unwavering support to this program.

These students always bring their best when they attend the program, and we love seeing their enthusiasm.

Right now, we're having our Annual Calendar Fundraiser for the program. If a parent sends you a calendar please be kind, it's for a good cause and support for the STEM Program.

Lastly, we could not make it without the awesome work of Dr. Britta Zoeller Maciuba , Bardstown FRYSC, Misty Roller - Nelson County Green Dot and the host of volunteers and organizations that attend these sessions every month.

Help us fill these calendars😁🙏🏽
