So unbelievably true! Honest connection and being truly seen and heard can move mountains in our inner self.

Make it a goal this week to surround yourself with people who truly see you.

If you were to sit down with a new person and were asked "Who are you? Tell me about yourself."

How would you answer that?

This seems like such a simple and superficial question at first... but the truth behind the answer is anything but simple.

98% of the time our answers will sound something like this...

"I am a dad"

"I am a husband"

"I am a dentist, attorney, teacher, etc"

But these answers are describing WHAT we do. Don't let this question blow by you... THIS IS 100% AN IDENTITY QUESTION.

WHO ARE YOU?

Our identity determines where we belong and what values we uphold. Identity is what we come crashing down onto when the world is pulled out from under our feet.

All too often we place our identity in things that have no right to hold that spot. I heard it taught once that we should only place our identity in something that CANNOT be taken from us.

Jobs can be lost.... identity crisis.
Marriages can end... identity crisis.
Children can die... identity crisis.

YOUR IDENTITY MUST REST ON THE TRUTH THAT YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD....PERIOD.

At the end of the day, no matter how hard life gets, no matter how bad my circumstances feel, I can rest in the truth that I am a child of the King of Kings and my home is not in this place.

Live from this day forward resting in this truth child! You are loved... You are HIS.
