For decades, gay, bisexual, trans, and questioning men have been gathering at Kirkridge to build community, sing, laugh, tell stories, remember the departed, share our strength and wisdom, and soak in the beauty of the mountain. This annual retreat is for GBTQ men across the generations who are on a spiritual path. Come as you are!

Using the parable of the Prodigal Son and other sources, this year’s retreat examines the unique search to belong that gay, bisexual, Ttansgender and questioning men experience and explores the various types of relationships that we long for in community. The program contains structured presentations and time for reflection, discussion, singing, and small groups. There will also be ample unstructured time for solitude, walking the land, socializing, and napping.

Cofacilitators this year are Dave Howser, M.Div, LCPC and Paul Morrissey, OSA.

ONE DAY foraging workshop! Join us Saturday, September 5, from 1-4pm .

This workshop will cover the basics of foraging, how to utilize collected materials, and provide recipes. The intention is to help you integrate foraging into your every day life and build a relationship with the plants, fungi, and land around you.

About the workshop leader: Rain Black, M.P.H., CPH (He/They) is an unenrolled Choctaw and Cherokee descendant 2-Spirit autistic watercolor, beadwork, & twining artist. He works as a community educator in the Lehigh valley and uses cultural revitalization in his work.

Come join other LGBTQ+ folk around the campfire on Sunday, September 13, for good conversation and laughter.

We'll have s'mores supplies. Feel free to bring other snacks for yourself or to share.

We are a gathering of folks who are looking for both fun and depth in our LGBTQ+ connections–authentic conversation, connection, creativity, and community.

These gatherings are free to all, and a freewill donation will be taken to cover cost of supplies.

Access notes: We will gather near the big white farmhouse and about 100 feet from the parking lot down a narrow paved path. There are single-stall, all-gender restrooms available in the Farmhouse, where there is one step up into the building. Seating without arms is available, and you are also welcome to bring your chair if that’s more comfortable. Masks are welcome but not required. Please do not come if you are feeling sick. Please feel free to reach out about other accessibility needs.
