🌾 80 Years of the Blue Valley Farm Show 🌾
In 1945, in the heart of the Slate Belt, a simple idea took root—give local FFA boys a place to proudly show the projects they worked so hard on. That idea became the Blue Valley Farm Show.
Eighty years later—despite a year without a show in 2020—we are still here. Still gathering. Still celebrating. 2026 marks 80 years of Blue Valley Farm Show memories.
Through the decades, we have seen it all—economic hardships, hurricanes, floods, droughts, and extreme heat. Times changed. Generations grew up. Traditions evolved. And yet, the Blue Valley Farm Show endured.
What began with FFA projects has grown into the home of the Northampton County 4-H Livestock Round Up, carrying on the spirit of youth agriculture even as there are no longer FFA chapters in Northampton County. The faces may be different, but the pride, dedication, and love for agriculture remain the same.
This show was built by volunteers who showed up year after year, families who passed traditions down, exhibitors who filled the barns, and a community that never let the gates close for good.
💙 To everyone—past and present—who gave their time, energy, and heart to the Blue Valley Farm Show: thank you.
Because of you, the lights still shine, the barns still fill, and the Blue Valley Farm Show lives on—80 years strong.
Here’s to the memories we cherish and the generations still to come. 🌟🌾
