We’re proud to share that our researchers have been published online in AIDS Journal highlighting important insights into the burden of noncommunicable diseases among people with and without HIV in Botswana. Drawing on 2021 data from the Botswana HIV/AIDS Impact Survey (BAIS V), this study centers real community experiences to better understand how health needs change across age groups.

The findings show higher rates of at least one noncommunicable disease among people with HIV—knowledge that can help health leaders design more responsive, age-appropriate care that truly meets people where they are.
👏 Congratulations to the research team for advancing evidence that supports healthier futures for communities in Botswana and beyond.
