A few years ago, Tinkerbellās mom answered our plea and fostered a young hound for us which we will always be grateful for ā¤ļø Fast forward to a month or so ago, we received an email asking if we had the resources to take in a senior bloodhound whoās owner was in the hospital and critically ill.
That owner turned out to be our foster, and she sadly passed away š Not only did her passing leave behind Tinkerbell, but also her teenaged daughter š We were able to find a temporary foster for āTinkā while the courts decided where her daughter would be placed, with our hopes being that they could be reunited. But unfortunately we have recently learned that thatās not going to happen, so now we need to find Tinkerbell a forever home. One where she can live her best life, being loved and finding happiness again ā¤ļø
Her foster mom describes Tink as being the āperfect house houndā who loves to play and play hard for about 20 minutesā¦then she prefers to lounge around and snore for the rest of the day āŗļø She is very well behaved and is thriving at her fosters. She bonds deeply with her humans and absolutely loves attention ā¤ļø
Tink may be considered a senior at 8 years old, but sheās got a lot of love left to give. Those, like us, who have adopted a senior dog into their lives understand how truly special they areā¦And this girl is no exception. She is spayed, UTD on vaccinations, crate and house trained, and great with other dogs and kids. Weāve been told that she can also live with cats but we donāt have any direct knowledge of thatā¦although we do know she lived with a bunny with no issues āŗļø But sheās a true sweetheart through and through ā¤ļø
Tink is being fostered in MD where she will stay until her perfect home is found. We canāt thank her foster mom Shelby enough for taking her in on such short notice and loving her through her heartbreak ā¤ļø This was such a sad and tragic turn of events and our hearts go out to the family, especially her daughter who now needs to navigate a new path. We are just a small part of this new journey, but we WILL find this sweet girl the wonderful forever that she deserves. And we hope that Tinkerbellās family both here and in heaven will find peace knowing that sheās forever loved ā¤ļø
