UFCW Local 655 works to obtain better wages and working conditions for all employees

This is the official page for United Food and Commercial Workers Local 655. We support, represent, organize, and mobilize workers in many industries including retail grocery, food processing, cannabis, and more. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Pride at Tower Grove Park this weekend with us and Local 88!

We had a wonderful time seeing our partners, stewards, and E-Board members, while also making new friends and connections throughout the day.

Pride is about coming together, lifting each other up, and celebrating the strength of our community. That’s something Local 655 is proud to do every day!

For over 20 years UFCW Local 655 has hosted a Sickel Cell fundraiser in partnership with the UFCW Minority Coalition. This year, we are looking forward to doing a Swab Drive through the National Marrow Donation Program (NMDP) at our Tower Grove Pride booth.

If you are at Pride this weekend, please stop by, say hello, and get swabbed so we can help NMDP with their vision to create a world where every patient can receive their life-saving cell therapy.

Our UFCW siblings at Local 88 have partnered with the organization Dignity Drawers and have placed a Dignity Drawer box outside their union hall, stocked with free feminine hygiene products for anyone in the community who needs them.

You don’t have to be a UFCW member to use the Dignity Drawer. It’s open to everyone, and we’re proud to help support this project.

If you’d like to donate, you can drop off supplies at Local 655’s Union Hall or take them directly to Local 88.

If you are wanting to donate, President Kyle Norris has shared, in this video, the items they currently stock in their Dignity Drawer. They’re also looking for gallon-size ziploc bags to package the supplies for the box.
