The Jefferson County and Southern Model Railroad Club and the Gateway Division NMRA Free-MO group have been asked to work with the St.Charles Art Foundry Center to promote a special exhibition called Trains! How appropriate that the exhibition will be located inside the Old American Car Foundry building in St. Charles Missouri, where the Freight Cars ,trucks and braking systems could be repaired and tested. We are told that the tracks are still located underneath the huge marble floor slabs , as the Gantry crane is still inside the building and that is still operational.
The Jefferson County and Southern Model Railroad Club and the Gateway Division NMRA FreeMO group will be providing 2 separately unique modular displays which will operate each day during the Art Foundry Exhibition hours.
The Jefferson County and Southern Model Railroad Club will be displaying a 120’ to 140 foot loop-to-loop layout. This will be one of largest setups in the 40+ year Club’s history. It will be a unique photo opportunity with over 120 feet of scenery on display, with trains operating. The FreeMO group is estimating an approximate 100 feet in length and a loop at each end, this will be one large setup!
Once the Grand Opening date is confirmed we begin advertising as the layouts operating hours and lunch breaks will be confirmed by both groups! I know it’s a lot to digest! It really going to be a Big Event!

Raffle time!

Time for the Christmas Raffle! This year we'll be raffling off a detailed N-scale layout. It has 3 operational loops, manual switches and lots of cool details being planned. We'll post progress pictures as Ken L. and Mike P. work through the power and polish to make this layout a great Christmas gift for the train lover in your life.

Tickets may be purchased at Iron Spike Model Train Museum, at N-Sports Rec Center during our train show this Saturday, by phone 636-283-5166 during our open hours, or via PayPal. Let us know how YOU would like to purchase your tickets.

The drawing will be held on Saturday, Dec 19 at 3 pm if you'd like to be present for the drawing, but you don't have to be present to win.
