The Fulton School

The Fulton School The Fulton School is an independent, nonprofit, Montessori school for toddlers through 12th grade in Chesterfield, Missouri.

We offer a strong academic environment fostering self-confidence, curiosity, kindness, and a love of learning. The Fulton School believes that children learn best by touching, hearing, tasting and experiencing life. Everything the student experiences is purposeful, from the work the preschool teachers set on the shelves and the sixth graders running the school store to community service planning b

y the high school students. At The Fulton School, students are absorbing and growing and learning every minute of the day. We believe students should love school and our students do. The Fulton School is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) and affiliated with the American Montessori Society (AMS).

The past week has been a big transition for our youngest students -- the toddlers. Despite missing mom and dad and the familiarity of home, these littles are really shining in the Montessori environment, learning to care for themselves, others, and the works in the classroom.

We were lucky to have Coach Fromuth on staff for two Varsity Boys' Golf seasons. She was top-notch... a true legend.

The Fro Memorial Accelerated Golf Tour (AGT) tournament has awarded $36,000 in college scholarships to five students. The second annual event is held in the memory of the late Carol Fromuth. She was longtime golf coach at Lafayette and St. Joseph’s Academy.

Our Upper Elementary teachers -- Mrs. Lannert and Mrs. Lamb -- are huge reading advocates. To start the year off, they had the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders decorate mini chalkboards with their names.

After organizing the in-classroom library shelves last week, each student chose 3 or 4 books to put in his/her "To Be Read" piles. Now everyone can see what each other is reading and share their interests. Plus, it makes for great room decor :)

Stop by their classroom and see what books inspire them to read more!

It has become a school start-up tradition that our Upper Schoolers head out for a group float trip on the Meramec River -- the perfect way to get a new school year started. The 7th-12th graders embarked on their river journey last Friday -- clear skies, 85, and full sun. What a day!

Yesterday was our First Day of School!

It made us nervous, but we were brave. Some stuff was fresh and new, but familiar things made school feel like home. We were excited to meet new friends, but eager to hug our old ones.

Cheers to a great new school year. Just wait to see what we will do!

Take a peek at our album from yesterday.

The first day of the 2026-27 school year came and went in a flash, but it was oh so fun!

We welcomed our new families at orientation last week and all of our school families at open house yesterday, so now it’s time to say hello to our 12 new girls — fresh off their summer vacation at the Schenk Farm.
