Marine Corps League Granite State Detachment #542 members join together in camaraderie & fellowship. Semper Fi.

The Granite State Detachment of the Marine Corps League consists of a proud group of Marines, Navy Chaplains and Navy Corpsmen, as well as Associate Members, friends and family. We are based in Manchester where we meet monthly at the American-Canadian Genealogical Society (ACGS) to discuss business such as new member recruiting, local outreach & support programs, members in need, fundraising activ

ities, events and other detachment involved items. Monthly meetings are on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1800, at 1 Sundial Ave, Suite 317, Manchester, NH 03103. Did you serve in the Marines, to include FMF Chaplains and FMF Corpsmen, and want to experience that camaraderie again? Do you want to find a way to help Marines, their families and other veteran programs in the Southern New Hampshire area? Do you want to be connected to one of the finest veteran organizations in the world? Then it sounds like you should come out to an event and meet the members of our detachment. If you want to prepare in advance of your first meeting, click through our "Those We Serve" and "History" pages to learn more about us, then click over to the "Membership" page to complete your application. Whether you were a Marine that served in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan or served your enlistment on one of the many bases and ships across the United States Marine Corps, you are always welcome at the Marine Corps League. As President Ronald Reagan once stated, “Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem.” Come out and continue to make a difference.

Charter Member and Life Member of GSD 542, Arthur Allison Passed at the age of 91, on March 7, 2026

Services for Arthur will be on April 25, 2026 at the Antrim Baptist Church at 85 Main Street, Antrum, NH at 2:30 p.m.

In 2021, Marge Romano interviewed Arthur as a member spotlight segment of the newsletter. Please click the link below to read the article as well as his obituary.

Burial services will be held over the summer.
